With all the money you were paid to write this, did you at least watch the CGI Oliver Queen Chronicles? The story there and story in Toxic don’t seem to me like they could have both happened on the same island within a few years. I saw two different ways Oliver first learned to shoot an arrow. Do you have an explanation for how they work together in your mind?

Last year in the episode where they showed Oilver, Lex and Patricia Swann as kids, Oilver was running around with a little bow and arrow so you'd think he'd know how to shoot one before he got stuck on the island. I realize that was just a little toy but if he liked it then you'd think he'd learn how to use a bow and arrow sooner..

Well, in the writers defense I used to run around with a gun during my toddler years, dont know how to shoot a real gun now.

And i think for the sake of us who dont live in the US and have sprint (was it??) that the Chronicles dont really count as canon, Id hate for some relevant stuff happening there than I dont have acces to.

The producers really should hire some of us fans to help the writers with continuity.

The Oliver Queen Chronicles can all be viewed on the Season 6 DVD boxed set.

i wouldn't take a poorly animated money gimmick as the official origin of green arrow.

LOL! Great question. I was wondering... where's the tribe of natives?

The CGI Chronicles were so much better than this.

This is just a different interpretation. You should know that by now, ForzaItalia.
Everything Smallville does is their own interpretation. And since they created the Oliver Queen chronicles, they can change anything they want in the actual show.

This was a great episode, leave it at that. If you prefer the oliver queen chronicles, then go watch them. Stop being so negative.

They actually meshed pretty well. We never saw the natives but you can assume they were on the island and trained Oliver, and the scene where we saw Oliver shooting the arrows was similar to the scene in the chronicles where he was practicing.

I have seen then Chronicles as well, and although Oliver is a lot younger in the animation, I don't think "Toxic" took much away from the events that happened in the miniseries.

Oliver was stuck on the island for two years, but we only saw a few days of it on the actual show, I'll have to re-watch the Oliver Chronicles again, but considering how almost all of the season six special features were about Oliver Queen, the letter to the fans was 50% about Justin Hartley, and there was not one episode with commentary, I sure hope the miniseries is cannon. Don't get me wrong, I think the Green Arrow is cool, so I don't mean to sound bitter, but it just doesn't make sense to invest so much time into that special feature if it doesn't contribute anything to the overall story that is being told at the end of the day.
