I've complained in the Spoilers forum about this, but...
I rather dislike the new Metropolis set. It does not look like a city, the "buildings" are really small, the lighting is just not realistic, and that damn movie theater is tinier than the Talon. This is METROPOLIS, folks.
Worse yet, everything happens right at this intersection, in front of the Metro Theater. It's so, so, so contrived.
1. Clark meets the JL here (Odyssey)
2. A bus blows up here (Plastique)
3. Davis wakes up here (Plastique)
4. Tess is attacked here (Toxic)
5. The cab picks up the bad guy here (Toxic)
6. Maxima flips Lois' car here (Instinct)
7. Lois and Jimmy are mugged here (Identity)
Man, no one must go to the Metro because the front door is the site of so much violence. That, or the contrivance of having every event in Metropolis take place right here is too stupid. I'm really trying not to whine, but it just makes our show look and feel so cheap. It completely takes me out of the scene.
