She's a good actress, and a good pick for Tess.

Tess is showing to be a great villian. She is sneaky and a little frightening when in evil mode. I know Lex is a favorite but I see Tess as showing more evil emotion. I have worked for both men and women and I would rather work for a man because women can be catty and unpredictable. Clark better watch his back. I think she is making a terrific addition to Smallville.

I thought this was a coming-out party for her character. She was very effective here, had a few scenes that made you sympathize with her (on the island, with Clark) but proved that in the end, she's just like Lex. The ends justify the means.

Quite the opposite. When Ollie calls her Mercy, it's pretty obvious that she is Mercy. The "No Mercy" is just a cool reference to her. Like Mercy, Tess shows no mercy.

You are probably right Timester.It's just that when they were casting the character they said that she was a combination of Tessmacher and Graves.Maybe he calls her Mercy in an affectionate way by changing her surname.Then again maybe you are right.I would like them though to explain what's her real name if that is the case

Me too. She's twisted and conflicted just like Lex. And she doesn't need to worry about filling Lex' shoes, women's shoes are hard enough to wear.

We had numerous seasons to follow Lex's journey from decent, nice guy to the dark side. As Lex said to Ryan when explaining Devilicus and Warrior Angel, that the road from good to evil is a journey, not a light switch (to which Ryan said back to Lex that "you should remember that"!). In Tess's case, our first introduction to her already has her well on that road to the dark side already. So I interpreted the flashback scene with Ollie on the island as being that, like Lex, she wasn't always "dark". I interpreted her still wearing her friend's bracelet as still being that last bit of goodness still there - sort of like "little Alexander" representing the last shred of goodness in Lex. So even though they didn't have 7 years to develop the Tess character, I think they are trying hard to quickly establish that Tess is essentially Lex, only one who pees sitting down. But the other similarities are striking.

I like Tess, or rather, I am growing to like Tess. She can do more than one flavor of evil, which is a plus in my book. She really seems like a character that is going to be fun to watch - things in Metropolis are definitely NOT going to be dull w/her around. Unfortunately, I missed the DCU Mercy reference, because I don't know the comic book character Mercy so if any one wants to educate me please do. Regardless of that, I thought the license plate (and the volley ball) were great!

Stay on your toes Clark...at least Lex never made a pass at you (at least not in the episodes, I understand Lex was fond of bum-grabbing between takes!)

I'm sorry, but I just don't care for her. I mean, I admire how strong and driven she is, but I just don't like her character (although I do like her more than Lana, haha). Her license plate was cool, however. NOMERCY Hee!

Plus, I hate the apparent attraction between her and Clark. Spare me!
