See for me, personally, I could care less if they place 'Pop' songs in Smallville. I enjoy the orchestral overtones that sweep through the Episodes, like an artists brush sweeps across the canvas. The music produced when Ollie first found himself crashed on the island was wonderful.

Its weird Season 8 has no music. Season 7 had a song montage pretty much at the end of every third episode. 'Bizarro', 'Fierce', 'Spell', 'Persona', 'Hero', 'Veritas'. There was also a ton of music just played throughout the episodes. I miss that :(
