What was the Plastique title in reference to, I didn't get it?

In the comics, Bette becomes known as a villain named Plastique.

Plastique is also a type of explosive.

Thanks! But it seems a bit random given that it was never explained in the actual episode.

What is the point in having an episode named after a character that you have to research outside the program to find out about or who's name doesn't actually emerge until later in the series - they might as well have called it something else.

well, the engagement ring of Chloe definetly looks like a plastique ring. Even if that ring has a special story, as Chloe said to Davis, I personally would never carry such an ugly ring as an engagement ring!

But I guess, the title doesn't refer to that. I was actually wondering about that title, too. Somebody, who doesn't know the comic wordl about superman and his enemies, like me e.g. would never understand, what this title stands for.

LOL I know, it's been a week already why the hell is she still wearing the same lamo ring?
Jimmy told her she'd be "having breakfast at Tiffany's" in the last season, she should be onto him to replace that dud with some serious bling PRONTO!

I know it was definitely a strange choice to make the title of the episode Plastique as the name is not referred to in the program. Or maybe that scene was cut but the title stayed.
at least Bizarro was named in Bizarro :p

Plastique is any modern type of explosive, like C4 or Semtex, that needs an electric charge to actually explode. There was a big explosion in the beginning of the episode. I don't know about you, but Plastique sounds more ominous and intriguing as something lame and obvious like BOOM.
But I never really understood the need to refer to a title in the program. Sometimes it sounds just phoney.

well if plastique refers to semtex or c4 it is still used wrongly here then 'cos Bett just shot fire/energy blasts out of her eyes - no explosive material was required.

no explosive material was required.

Which wasn't known until way into the episode. I'll make it simpler, "plastique makes things go boom".

yeah but I just don't buy it 'cos the things did not go boom because of semtex, whether we knew it from the beginning or not.

Did anyone think that the girl who played Better sort of resembles KK?

Typically the people who actually know the episode names are also the type who would know who Plastique is.
