Heīs the main character yet seldomly gets his own thread for discussion on episode threads:

I think he shined in this episode, loved that he was in most of the scenes and not cause hes contract sayīs so but cause he was investigating, saving, or just being a good samaritan, really can not get enough of this new Clark, heīs awsome. This is the Clark Ive been waiting for a long time, the reason I stayed tuned to this show, I knew he had it in him the writers were capable (just had horrible management) hope this awsome trend continues.

Really liked his fresh and kick back attitud, he was serious when required but otherwise looked happy, the scene where he looked like a kid on his first day of school, right before steping down to the basement towards his new job, afterwards when he was surprised that his shirt wasnt exactly DP office wardrobe ettiquete, like an honest to gawd farmboy who didnt even think a plaid (untucked) shirt was not ok for a big news papper employee, his patience with Lois through her uninvited advices and journalism rules, I was laughing when Clark made up a new rule to himself as if Lois was standing next to him "never give up my source, rule #11" (unless she gave him that rule offscreen which I also find funny).

I liked how he used his abilities to investigate and how he figured stuff out on his own, when that line about the barrill metal pieces should have been thrown away and not towards him, came out of his mouth I was really impressed and glad heīs figuring this kind of stuff out on his own as it used to be.

I liked his relationship with Chloe, still strong but less codependant (which has always been my only biff) and Im glad they had that talk to clear things out, of course they will miss eachother but like they implied its time Chloe lived her life and found happines, she will always be Clarks friend but without the "Ill drop everything for you". I also liked his mature aproach and his reaction was spot on when he found out about the angagement (that Clark/Davis scene was awsome) and when he confronted her about it, he also reacted more maturely and less selfish which I think is great. Oh and the way he handled things with Bette was spot on, at least from my POV, Superman never lets criminals go away no matter how much he likes/understands them.

One thing Id like to mention is Tomīs acting, awsome, from the face he made of a kid in a new school, to his face of utter shock when his plaid shirt wasnt as adequate as he had thought, to the lighthearted scenes with Lois and Davis, to the heart to heart between Clark and Chloe, great acting, thatīs how a man who actually likes his job looks like.
