I think I liked this better than "Odyssey"...

Don't get me wrong, "Odyssey" was a great episode, tons of action. But I think I enjoyed "Plastique" more. It just seemed like classic SV, with a nice twist. The Clois and DP stuff was great. I think Davis is going to be a great new character, and I officially like Tess now. Bette was also interesting, and Jessica Kennedy was better than I thought she would be. This episode also had some funny moments, had good character interactions, set up some of the season's storylines well, and had a killer ending.

Odyssey was so awful I was just about ready to give up on the show. But Plastique was awesome and suddenly gave me faith these new peroducers might know what they're doing.

This episode introduced a DC character most people are not familiar with, really developed her character well, and took some serious steps in showing how Clark becomes the classic Superman we all know..... what more could anyone want?

Odyssey was filled with holes and inconsentcies but i still liked it, but definitly Plastique was better maybe because everything did not seem so rushed?

I definitely liked this better than Odyssey. Clark was great in this episode (like a true hero). I like the airtime he got in this episode. This is how the show should have been like for the past 2 years at least.

^^I agree. This season is going to be great!! I really enjoyed this episode from beginning to end. It truly is like the classic smallville. I really liked the introduction of Davis Bloome. I think his character is going to make this season very interesting.

Something else I liked is that it didn't leave us as confused (wrt to stuff like Clark and MM flying to the sun, Clark getting a job and name plate in one night, etc.).

Yeah, it did seem like they took their time with this one and didn't throw everything at us real fast. They developed it pretty well so I agree it was better than the premiere

I agree that this episode was better than the season opener. Liked the interaction between Clark and Lois. Can't stand Tess, though. I'm really missing Lex.

Odyssey was a mediocre episode at best. I rated it a 6/10 after I saw it. It was the first premiere that I didn't enjoy.

I think this is the first season ever where I liked the second episode more then I did the premiere. Plastique was much more enjoyable in my opinion.

Thinking hard about it, yes i agree. It was alot better than Odyssey.
Though i really did not take to Bette, and thats what made me mark it lower than i did Odyssey.

Though, if i could mark soley on the characters, i would have given it a complete 10. Purely for Tess.
I think shes fantastic.

I think I liked Odyssey better than this episode. In this episode, the meteor freak girl got on my nerves for some reason. She just looked weird with that dark eyeliner.
I especially loved the part with CK and MM in Odyssey. I thought TW did a great job with getting hit by an arrow and dies.

I have to agree with the starter of this thread.

After Arctic I wasn't very thrilled about getting a new season (And that's pretty huge! giving my obsessing history with Smallville) and When I saw Odyssey, I felt a little let down, sure I was blinded by the buzz of a new episode for a while, but then I realized that it wasn't such a great episode. I was sad cause I didn't want to gave up on my Show just yet, but I felt it was inevitable.

Anyway, I wasn't very excited for this new episode, but DAMN! after I saw it, I had a huge stupid GRIN in my face all day! LoL! I was pleasantly surprised and at the same time satisfaced with PLASTIQUE, sure it wasn't perfect, but I LOVED it. :)
