It may just be friendship; it may end up being more based on spoilers we've heard. Either way, I'm gonna jump on the "doomed to fail" wagon before it even leaves the station. He does...you know...end up killing Superman after all.

whichever way you see the Chlark relationship - romantic or platonic - I think we can all agree Chloe would be just a little bit pissed at anyone who killed her bff. :lol: At the very least, that person would be stricken from her Christmas card list. ;)

That said...I'm not saying I won't enjoy it while it lasts. It could be cute, fun, interesting, even hot. Depends what they do.

I think AM had great chemistry with MR, nothing happened (AM even did an interview during season 3 and said that she had asked about Chlex, and was told "No, Chloe's too young" About 2-3years later we get Lexana), AM and TW have great chemistry and TPTB won't touch Chlark with a ten foot pole; AM and JH also have great chemistry but we got Lollie instead. Now, AM and SW have great chemistry and Davis is going to end up....disturbed. Instead we are stuck with Chimmy, and AM and AA don't have 1/2 of the chemistry athat AM has with the other actors. So sad.

I really like the Davis/Chloe chemistry. He is so much more likeable than Jimmy is, and I think it is sad that Chloe had more sexual chemistry with a complete stranger than Jimmy. Maybe it is because Chimmy is the most boring ship out there and anything would look good by comparison. I'm thinking Chloe has one of the most compelling story lines this year. She's gaining some new abilities, which I'm hoping means that she'll be joining the ranks of superhero in the near future.

While I've never really been a huge fan of the Chimmy relationship it's there so oh well. I really liked this episode in regards to Chloe because there was certainly great chemistry between her and Davis, and the scenes helped to put another hole in the Chimmy relationship.

Another great thing was the reference to the relation between Clark and Chloe, deep down Chloe still has feeling for Clark( and always Will IMO), and Clark can't deny that he doesn't have Similar feelings for her. Everything from Chloe's hesitance to tell Clark about the engagement, to Clark's reaction to finding out about Chloe's engagement, and finally the talk between the two of them at the end, all of it was just perfect.

You can totally see how attracted Davis is to Chloe, and that, although she's doing her darnedest to fight it, Chloe reciprocates it.

ITA, Chlavis had more heat after one day then Chimmy has had all along. I think you said it perfectly...chimmy is safe...and chlavis is exciting and dangerous. Ok...so yes, ultimately too dangerous. I think chimmy are just together out of comfort...and Chloe is going to see this season that there are other men out there besides Jimmy and Clark.

I think thats part of the problem...she feels she cant have clark, so she goes with jimmy who is her stability. Now...Davis is screaming "It doesnt have to be one or the other....there's this whole other category of men that arent clark and jimmy!!" :rotfl:

I think the writers did a good job in distancing Clark away from the Choomly triangle. But I wouldn't mind if they go a little bit further next week because I want Clark as farrr away from that triangle as possible. There's nothing but trouble heading that direction, and I for one want to see Clark and Jimmy become good friends.

I agree that Chloe needs to make up her mind....but I also think she's completely naive to men. She never seems to think guys would actively persue her...so when they do she's in shock.

I thnk she finds Davis interesting, and she was just keeping contact with him to help Bette. But in the end...she enjoys spending time with him, and she thought he should know he was her inspiration to run Isis.

It seemed, to me...when she was on the table she did get caught up in the moment. Davis was right there...practically pressed up against her. I dont know who wouldnt be a little flustered from that. But then she looks away...and Davis gets the hint, so they get down. He helps her down....and holds her hand a little longer then needed, so she clears her throat. Then he accuses her of stalking him, they laugh...he moves in a bit and she blurts it out.

Which Davis makes it seem like he gets it...he immediately backs off.

Now...I LOVED the Chlavis...it was hot and had more intensity then Chimmy could ever dream of, but I think at this point thats all chloe thinks it is. A hot guy seemed interested in her...so she's flattered, but she still thinks she loves jimmy more then ever.

With clark...I dont think she was trying to get clark to tell her not to marry jimmy...she wanted to make it perfectly clear...things would have to change between them, and until that moment I dont think he realized that.

ITA. Choomy in Plastique makes as much sense as Clark proposing to Lana in Reckoning and her saying yes, and then leaving her fiance at his father's election party because Lex Luthor is texting her. I didn't like Chloe and Davis only for the fact that she is engaged with Jimmy. Alot of people have already said what I thought of Chloe's decision making regarding him. I know I wouldn't want my fiance acting like that with another man she just met. I think Davis is at just as much fault as Chloe is. Although I know Davis will eventually be consumed by Doomsday, I enjoyed Chlavis. Yes, that's right, I enjoyed it. It was HOT, and as a Chloe fan, I'm glad that she was able to share such a smoking scene. It's about darn time the girl got a steamy scene with someone other than Clark (Jimmy doesn't count because there's NO steam or chemistry whatsoever).

I CANNOT, for the life of me, figure out what the heck PS3 are thinking. It makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever. It's bad enough that Chloe STILL has lingering feelings for Clark (her, I don't think I'm quite ready for that line last week), but now she has some MAJOR heat going on with Davis.

Chimmy is bad enough on its own. Add Chlark and Chlavis to it, it only makes it look that much worse.

It seems that TPTB until now couldn't picture Chloe attracting guys like Davis, Clark, Oliver, etc. Of all the men they could get they decided to put her with Jimmy Olsen who's not in the same league. In the mythos is younger then Clark. He's a kid. No hunk or swoon worthy material. Aside from his connection to Superman he's totally uncool.
Chloe and Jimmy might make good friends. But for Chloe to be into him? Nah.

And then, of course, as a Chloe romance wasn't seen as deserving the same level of attention as a Lana romance ("We have to have angsty!Clark! Who can we pair with Lana to get that result?"). I mean it was shameful that Lana had a new love interest every five seonds in early seasons and for the most part, it seemed like Chloe could dress herself in nothing but hot fudge and whipped cream and guy would be like, "Hey, Chloe...seen Lana around lately?"

Then I think they thought it would be cute/cool to pair Chloe with a mythos member, to make her, in a sense, an ancillary part of the mythos romance story. So they chose Jimmy.

But they do keep giving conflicting messages about how they feel about Chimmy. They say they love it, they support it, but then they have Chloe macking on Davis a week after getting engaged. Plus, in the AU Apocalypse, it made it clear that Chimmy had had a shot - likely a real shot - but it hadn't worked out. So, Clark or no Clark, Davis or no Davis, George or no George, Chimmy wasn't meant to work out (because I don't think Chloe left Jimmy for George).

Which is fine. I get that message. Chimmy parties may honestly love each other, but it's not meant to be. (Rather like Clana. They love each other. Not meant to be.) But then why are TPTB coming across as really excited to have Chimmy going to the next somewhat illogical conclusion on the show?

They can't keep sending these mixed messages. If they want us to believe that, in this reality, Chloe and Jimmy could make it work, then they should do so. If they want us to believe that Chimmy just isn't meant to work out, then that's fine too. But the audience needs to feel what the characters are feeling, and the characters need to be sending the same messages that the audience is supposed to get.

If TPTB want us to believe that Chimmy is it for Chloe, then either they need to cut it out with Clavis (and, for those who see it, Chlark), or they need to have Chloe assess her feelings for all parties involved and make a conscious decision about who she wants. They seemed to do that in Odyssey. Chloe clearly saw that she had a choice - perhaps not between Clark and Jimmy per se, but at least to get herself out of a situation that perhaps wasn't right for her and look for one that was. Jimmy was more than willing to give her a door, and she was the one closing it.

So then one week later, she's macking on Davis like he's a tall glass of water and she's been in the desert for too long?

I don't get it.

And if she's going to have doubts because her chemistry with Davis is sizzling, that's fine. I don't get it, with the spoilers coming up though. Because if she's going to have these doubts, and if they're going to introduce this kind if dynamic, then they need to show Chloe being conflicted about the choices available to her. And then we need to see her choose what she wants, and we further need to buy that choice.

I don't want to see Chloe being all warm and confident in her love for Jimmy next episode (as I rather saw her in Odyssey) and then setting the barn on fire in interactions with Davis and have her seem completely oblivious to the contradiction there.

After last week, the writers darn well better show Chloe realizing, at least, that she had sparkage with Davis, and is that something she should have felt for someone not Jimmy? And what does she want to do about that? Was it a passing thing? Was it something more? I want to see her thinking about these things.

Hmm...I hate to say to a certain extent I agree with you, Storm. For the most part, it seems like the OLD PTB's attitude was that "well, with Lana around, who would notice Chloe?"

For which I say they deserve a good smacking. With a two-by-four. And then maybe a mac truck. Followed by a tank. Followed by...

And then, of course, as a Chloe romance wasn't seen as deserving the same level of attention as a Lana romance ("We have to have angsty!Clark! Who can we pair with Lana to get that result?"). I mean it was shameful that Lana had a new love interest every five seonds in early seasons and for the most part, it seemed like Chloe could dress herself in nothing but hot fudge and whipped cream and guy would be like, "Hey, Chloe...seen Lana around lately?"

Grr.

Then I think they thought it would be cute/cool to pair Chloe with a mythos member, to make her, in a sense, an ancillary part of the mythos romance story. So they chose Jimmy.

But they do keep giving conflicting messages about how they feel about Chimmy. They say they love it, they support it, but then they have Chloe macking on Davis a week after getting engaged. Plus, in the AU Apocalypse, it made it clear that Chimmy had had a shot - likely a real shot - but it hadn't worked out. So, Clark or no Clark, Davis or no Davis, George or no George, Chimmy wasn't meant to work out (because I don't think Chloe left Jimmy for George).

Which is fine. I get that message. Chimmy parties may honestly love each other, but it's not meant to be. (Rather like Clana. They love each other. Not meant to be.) But then why are TPTB coming across as really excited to have Chimmy going to the next somewhat illogical conclusion on the show?

They can't keep sending these mixed messages. If they want us to believe that, in this reality, Chloe and Jimmy could make it work, then they should do so. Excellent post and I can not agree with it even more. We don't really know her feelings for anyone in reality. We all just see what we want to see.

I know she loves Clark but how does she love him? I really can't say but I can say what kind of love I want it to be though.

Her feelings for Jimmy do seem to flip flop every now and then. One epsiode she is into him completely and that he is her guy but then the next she makes some sort of flirty comments to Clark. Maybe Chloe is just as confused as we are about how she feels? I don't know because her feelings aren't addressed that much and we only get little hints and clues about what she might be feeling.

As far as Davis and Chloe go....I didn't feel the scene was as sexy and hot as many people do but I won't deny that Chloe and him have an attraction towards each other. The way she acted makes me think that Jimmy was one of the last things on her mind until she came to her senses but then she called him at the end which left it open for him to contact her again.:(

I think you guys have to remember that 90% of Chloe's acquaintances have turned out to be freaks willing to kill. Chloe's found a sweet guy who's not a freak and not a killer and that makes her happy. Based on her experiences, I don't think it's fair to say her decision is completely wrong.

And I for one, didn't see heat as in both sides, I saw Davis hot for Chloe, not the other way around. Chloe was just enjoying a little extra attention, not pursuing in any way.

We all might feel that Jimmy is not right for her, but it's not our call to make.

I think she is marrying him because she loves him and he loves her. Davis and Chloe don't click like Jimmy and Chloe in my opinion. I don't like either pairing but if I had to choose I'd go with Jimmy and Chloe.

We don't even know what kind of guy Davis is and people are already wanting Chloe to drop Jimmy for him......damn.

You know when guys first meet girls they want to make a good impression so Davis is on his best behavior.:rolleyes:

As for Chimmy. Its simply not the kind of relationship I would see Chloe being in. Nor with this kind of guy. I fail to see any sparks nor any passion. I would imagine Chloe being with someone who would stimulate her, keeping her on her toes. Jimmy is just amusing and cute but insecure . Like a small dog you have to pet. I don't see that as a good ending for her character. There are people who would rather see her with a murderer like Doomsday or even Lex (who had her kidnapped 3-4 times during the series!) than seeing her with Jimmy. There's something really wrong.

And I am one of those people, you can count on it for sure!! is it wrong? yeah maybe! but for me anything else is better than Chimmy....

I really never got in to love interests between characters in smallville. But I gotta say Chlovis is way better then Chloe & Jimmy.
