First of all. Apparently future peter messed things up with sylar and claire right? like if future peter didn't tell her to stay home, she wouldn't be there for sylar.

BUT in the reality where nathan didn't get shot by future peter and nathan continued with his speech, claire would have no reason to go to odessa, and would've been killed by sylar anyways. so either way, she would've been attacked by sylar.

I don't think that's a plothole. I think that Peter changing ONE thing that many things changed. And there is no way to know what other events depended or happened because of Future Peter changing that one event. Claire might not have been home, maybe she didn't go to odessa but she might have been somewhere else. It's just a ripple effect....... one thing effects all the rest - so no plothole for me.....

I don't think it was a plot hole. I think finding out that her birth father was killed derailed Claire's trip. I think she would have gone to Odessa to be part of the coming out movement and support it.

But it wasn't future Peter that told Claire that. Present Peter did. Unless I missed something, they never showed when future Peter banished present Peter to Jesse's body. And I admit that I could have missed it.

when we first saw peter holding the hat and jacket it was already future peter...only 2 mins in they switched.

now that i've thought about it. i think i agree with you. cuz she wanted to tell the world first. so maybe she would've gone to help and sylar wouldn't have been able to get her power.

but it was future peter who told her to stay home. and even Mrs. Petrelli said it was his fault. so yea.

My theory.. she would have left the house bc Nathan would have been telling the world about them. So after his announcement (which would have happened if Peter hadn't shot him) she would have been packed and out the door to start with the inform the world plan. IMO

The virus would have been unleashed upon Odessa, and Claire being immune would have gone to help, but then Future Peter went back and killed off the Studio Execs who were going to compromise with the WGA, starting the writer's strike, causing the end of Generations to be rewritten, and all of Exodus to be canceled.
