Who is this Tracy girl that looks like Nikki and has the power to freeze? Is that Nikki with a new power or truly another girl that resembles Nikki?
Twin sister that was adopted maybe?

well we know niki had a twin named Jessica, so like I said in the other thread, I'd guess there were actually triplets, Niki with strength, Jessica who could jump her consciousness into other things, and Tracy who froze everything she touched. Their powers were discovered early in life so (maybe Linderman or something) decided to split them up for their (or his) own good

I dunno - I wouldn't put it past Linderman to 'experiment' on people. He did say he had an active interest in Nikki's family etc.....

It would really be strange to have three in Nikki's family and three in Petrelli's though..... so I'm hoping that is not the case and it's just something else.......

i think shes just another split personality, like the one we learned about in season 2 episode 4 monthes ago, i'd be cool if niki had like 100 split personalities all with their own powers

I was under the impression as well. The reason why Tracey doesn't know about Niki is because she is another one of Niki's alters (personalities). Sometime a person with Dissociative Identity Disorder will have alters that are aware of each other (like Jessica was aware of Niki), but they don't know about each other necessarily.

Didn't Niki get the alleged 'cure' last season? And then she was supposed to been blown up. The combination the alleged cure and the trauma of the explosion I think played a part in the new personality emerging combined with the new power.

my theory is niki's body has the power to inhabit dead heroes. Jessica was her dead sister, so maybe tracy is another dead hero from the past? hmmm.

Gina, im just thinking was another random one. But DL helped her snap out of that one. I'm thinking it's gunna take micah to snap her out of this one.

and i think it was funny the reporter called her an ICE queen.

I think it is Niki, and the fire changed her power to ice so she could survive. Wow, that sounds kind of dumb...

We know that "Niki" is alive from the 5 years later episode.

I don't think it is a new personality. Niki still had the virus when the building exploded. Even if a new personality did emerge with a new power it wouldn't have been able to use it because that personality was still part of the virus infected body.

I could be wrong, but if I'm not they now have a plot hole.

I think Tracy is Jessica.

My theory is that Niki is really dead (or so Beeman says) and Jessica was never really killed... just taken away. Thus, Niki developed the Jessica personality (and Gina, later) as a result of old-fashioned multi-personality disorder and/or schitzophrenia.

The twins had an abusive father (or step-father, if spoiler rumors are to be believed), so Linderman removed Jessica to a new location where she got a new life and a new name to save her for his plans (thus her political positioning) and she has no memory of her sister or her previous life.

Because it's not Niki. I think it's Jessica (the original one), but that's yet to be proven... but I'm holding to Linderman and Beeman's assertion that it's not Niki.

Nikki/Jessica had a sister who died didn't she? Didn't she say that in season 1. I think it's her sister. Why would Nikki/Jessica suddenly have a random new power like freezing things?

I think the trauma of Jessica's death and whatever other abuse Nikki suffered as a child triggered her OTHER personalties... one of them is Jessica. Her dead sister who protects her when things get tough. But I think maybe her sister didn't really die.

But maybe the fire triggered a new power and a new OTHER... hmm...

As awesome as that idea sounds, I just can't see how it can happen. Unless the writers completely forgot about the virus that was infecting Niki. Even if a new personality with a new power did emerge that personality is still tied to the body infected by the virus, hence no powers at all.

But who knows.

I don't think we know where that ability came from, but it seems similar to what we have seen of Nikki/Jessica in previous seasons where the other 'personality' appears in the mirror.

Maybe it's not just a separate personality, but actually multiple people living in the same body, each with a unique power.

ok, im not sure if you lot read the online comics, but in one of the comics where in the futrue peter and hiro help people escape from some prison designed to hold people with powers (it didnt look like level 5), niki was saved by peter,

when fights break out and niki says something along the lines of "iv been alot of people, iv had alot of lives, and during those times iv picked up a few things or two, but i didnt know once being a stripper would help me now" - she said something like that.

Then she swung around a pole and kicked the bad guy.

Any ways, i know this should be in the theories section but i thought id discuss it here since its being talked about.

i liked her but i think we are going to be losing micah and monica (which were my two fave characters from S2:() so that tracy can become the new character and they can all but forget about nikki:(

the title of this thread makes me laugh. Do they really need to keep revamping this character to try and find people who actually care about the character? Besides being hot she's just a boring character - no matter how many different personalities you give her or powers you give her......

that Tracey is the long thought dead, Jessica Sanders. If Linderman can claim that he directed Niki and DL's lives so that they would conceive Micah, who's to say that he didn't orchestrate the circumstances that created Niki's fragile mental state? If I remember right, there was a car accident that Jessica died in. Niki was the one he needed. I think the older generation would have no problem removing Jessica and placing her with another family. Wiping her memory with the young Hatian. Who we know the company had at a young age. I mean, yes the theory that Tracey is just another version of Niki with different powers is enticing, but all the other alters (Jessica & Gina) knew about Niki but worked to their own ends. And Jessica's super strength Niki could use. Now, that makes it very possible that Niki is dead. But I can't suspend my disbelief enough to believe that one of niki's alters got in good with the Governor of NY mere days after Niki ws blown up in a building in New Orleans.

So these dead souls have the powers, and they inhabit her body. Jessica inhabited her first with her strength! and Gina who must have had a power too. and now Tracy, the "ice" queen. they keep taking over poor little Niki! She has no split personality at all!

That was in the timeline where new york exploded. Claire in that future was a whiny waitress, not a BA hunting down Future Peter. So the future now is definitely very different.

My theory is that last season was a red herring, and Jessica wasn't just another split personality, but the Season 1 theory that she had an astral projection/possesion power is true, and she possessed the Ice Queen. If Mohinder hadn't made the mind numbingly stupid discovery that adrenaline is connected with the powers, I'd make the argument that Tracy activating her power in a sudden act of violence is too similar to Nikki's to be a coincidence. But for now, I'm just going to go with using the same actress to play someone that just happens to look similar to her dead character is too cheap of a move for the writers to pull.

hehe.... why can't there be some guy's in towels or something. Nikki/Jess/whatever is always in a scant robe lol....

anyway - as much as the character disinterests me I had a thought. Each one of the powers that this particular person (Nikki/Jess/Whatever) has had has been a direct result of protecting herself in some way.

Guy's going to rough her up and hurt her kid = super strength,
guy gonna run a porn article and grabbing her = freeze the guy,
daddy gonna hurt you = you retreat and develop an ability to protect yourself etc

as selfish as it seems for the character - it seems to me that she has the knack for staying alive in whatever form/power that might take her to save herself. [shrug] just a thought. survival of the fittest selfish style.

The guy did call her an ice queen, maybe her reaction was deliberate even if she didn't realize it. And maybe it's just the situations that she's put in - but it's mostly men that she has to protect herself from.....
