The writers continue to kick Chloe in the teeth. I just know they are setting her up to be infected by Brainiac so that Clark (or the Fortress, or Jor-El, or somebody) will have to do a total mindwipe and re-set to purge her of all traces of the evil computer/construct. So eight years of friendship and three years of knowing Clark's secret, all down the drain.

And WTF? with her losing her healing power! Did she give that to Brainiac? She obviously got her new computer savvy from Brainiac.

At the end of Season 7, the impression was that Brainiac was taken care of. Maybe he's not....(ominous music).

Of course Brainiac isn't dead, he'll be coming back (actually, I kind of like that idea since I'm a huge James Marsters fan). You just can't write off a great villain like him.

I looked at it as Chloe actually gaining powers from Brainiac. During Artic, Brainiac was drained of most of his energy so I'm guessing that energy got transferred over to Chloe. She obsorbed his engery and now her IQ has skyrocketed.

I don't think she lost her powers because Clark wasn't/isn't human during that scene when he got the arrow through the chest. I am guessing her powers can't heal a kryptonian/alien thats why it didn't have any effect.

I actually want her to lose all her powers (especially the Chloeiac powers seen in this episode). I want her to become the type of character she once was--a realistic one.

I think Chloe now has two powers. The writers would not just give her healing powers and then take them away.

Her powers will return. It's like when Brainiac infected her she had to adjust and the virus overwhelmed her healing powers, like it's in hibernation and mutated to something else.
But I would have preferred the old Chloe without powers. This is getting too complicated and might take away too much screen time for Clark to finally become a Superman with the endless explanation of why and how Chloe's power changed. I mean, who really is the superhero in this show, Clark or Chloe. I think the latter. No offense, I love Chloe, but it's frustrating when the writers are doing this to Chloe. I missed the old Chloe and this may be the last season. The writers aren't just trying to fix the mess of S7, but they have to tie everything up from S1 so that we have an almost seamless story of Superman that somehow reflects near the mythos.
