Does anyone else think Veritas was the most pointless story line ever? I certainly do... not only did it slash the back story of smallville in the past seasons but it brought characters in directions they did not need to be in. Now after all the crap we had to endure we are brought to a very simple conclusion to the whole thing. WHAT WAS THE POINT. i dont really mind that the only punishment was his powers being taken away but for how much hype that device had come ON. AND he just gets them back by the sun... ok... Idk veritas ick

At the beginning it had a lot of potential. But when the retcon started,it lost some of it's magic. However,i think that the final blow was delt when the 7th season was extended.I believe that the original storyline was for Lex to kill Lionel,go to Zurich and find some kind of coordinates for the Fortress.I don't think that there were any original plans for a "control the Traveler" plot. The whole controling thing hampered the Veritas story.

i knew the crystal wasn't going to actually control him like a puppet. It's the same in pirates of the caribbean with davy jones, I thought it would either make clark lose his powers or the lex would just use it against clark and make him do his bidding.

I thought Veritas was cool and took a lot of planning. Perfect way for Lex to go completely evil. I wish we had the 2 episodes we lost to add to Veritas as well....Oh well, negetive posts by some nay sayers just can't convince everyone of their idea that Veritas was a waste of time. Better luck next time...LOL

LIONEL died for that???? BS storyline and ending... I know Lionel has to die but lets get real here. He spent his whole life to become the one to have Clark.. When in the end even if Lionel used him in a bad way MM would have interviened.... Makes no sense, while it's killing off half the history of the show.... Garbage!!!

Veritas is very much being swept under the carpet... and i couldn't be happier... now i can forget all about it... i mean at one point i was so consumed with hatred for that storyline that i couldn't sleep
having watched odyssey i feel free... on to a new storyline please!
