Well, Green Arrow formed the baby steps for it, but Martian Manhunter indeed led the group for that time. However, he did it anemonesly with the alias "Ezra", so Oliver wouldn't recognize him. We'll see if that's played with later down the road, hopefully it is.

I imagine J'onn's powers aren't gone for good, as he still had enough to fly himself and Clark back to Earth and the farm, so it'll most likely be just a matter of time before he regains his full range of abilities back (much like Myx offscreen did). Having the entire League in the premier, even if Cyborg and Bart were offscreen (covering the southern hemisphere looking for Clark), it almost made it feel epic. What I'm definitely liking about this new season is how the writers are playing with flashbacks, considering we haven't really had any in Smallville outside a couple episodes from the early seasons, so that's fun getting to remember some of the old days.

Because his powers weren't completely gone. This can be observed by the fact that he was still able to fly himself and Clark back to Earth and the farm, though that probably drained what was left of his flight and super-speed capabilities. He must only have enough in him to hold his human shape, in other words, he slightly exaggerated to Clark the full extent of his powers being "stripped". Or call it a plot-hole, whatever.

I was actually a little surprised that Chloe and Ollie didn't seem at all surprised that MM just showed up.... I mean they don't know him and some dude just shows up and knows CK and takes off with him..... I know they were a little lost for words but a little more shock or WTF would have made the moment more for me.

MM's weakness is fire...which the sun has PLENTY of...his action was one of GREAT sacrifice...
