He's probably survived the fortress's collaspse and is lying cold and hard somewhere! He's gonna become an eskimo and tr to survive the cold harsh conditions of the arctic that'll make him much stronger.

personally i think lex has awoken with no memory except his hatred for the name kal-el. he will wander around the world for a few years till he runs into someone who reckonizes him as the dead lex luthor he return to a metroplis tells tess to get out of his office at Lexcorp Tess had it renamed to honor lex who she thought was dead and to help change it's reputation as the evil LuthorCorp. He will look out his window then we will hear a women scream and Clark who has finally excepted his destiny flys by in the superman suit Lex instantly reckonizes the flying man as his enemy kal-el and says "it begins kal-el our war begins." then fade to black series finale.

I think that we won't get micheal back till the series finale becuase he has been very vocal about moving on to other projects and growing out his hair so when we finally do get lex back he will probablly have hair or they will remove it with cgi for one episode wich look cheezy but still be better then no lex at all.

now for the thread I voted that lex got teleported to an au where Jonathon survived and lana didn't.

Yea good thread idea, hopefully we get some hints throughout the season were he is and maybe they can convince michael to return around season/series finale peroid or if not physically there for audio recordings.

One can only hope that he is safe and warm somewhere so MR can make at least one episode appearance this season. But I'm not holding my breath. :(

I think he's in some murky swamp somewhere building the fortress of Doom. And when thats done he's gonna call up his boys, Gorilla Grodd, Toyman, Black Manta etc., to open up a can of whupass on Clark in the season 8 finale.

Can we have this thread for every episode until Lex returns ...if he returns? I would tune into this every week to hear people's theories.

So much cooler than the Shelby thread.

I should be meeting him next Sunday at CollectorMania in London, so I'll beg MR to reconsider his decision to not appear in any episodes this season. Just out of randomness, has anyone viewed the clip on youtube where he says that if they made a really good bald cap, that he would maybe consider coming back for the final ever episode of the show? It's from the DragonCon Q&A session he had...He even goes to say that he imagines the ending of the show being about clark and lex, like most of us. But then again, I'm not holding my breath...

Whoa! That's awesome that you get to meet MR! What is CollectorMania? Is it sort of like Comic Con for America?

Congrats, man! :) Be sure to give him all of us fans' admiration and utmost respect, and please tell him that the series finale wouldn't be the same at all without Lex...so many fans have visualized him being in those iconic final shots that it would truly be a bit empty without him there.

As for me, I believe Lex will be out there surviving the harsh terrain, including whether, lack of food, and running into things like polar bears! I think it'll be like the island scenario for Lex, only far longer and worse, an experience that, if it happened to anyone else, may make them want to see the light and start over, but for Lex, of course, it merely solidifes his desire for power. Taking the Heath Ledger Joker's words into account: "Whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you...STRANGER."

I think Lex is wandering the U.S. a la David Banner (Bill Bixby) on the old Incredible Hulk series . . . with Shelby at his side, of course.

Seriously, if the bald head is the only issue holding MR back from guest appearances, then I say just give him a wig and call it a day! I mean, if Lex is in hiding, a wig would suit him anyway!

And as for where Lex is...I think he's moping about Clark's betrayal in the Arctic, bouncing a ball against the igloo wall.

Unless perhaps Lex is wandering the Arctic learning to grow hair.

Unlike the Phantom Zone, the Ostroff Zone not only has time meaning nothing, but episodes of Gossip Girl, 90210, Privileged, etc are played every single moment simultaneously. So it's no wonder Lex will be a raving lunatic who doesn't recognize Clark as Superman, but as a hated 90210 character that he will try to personally kill.

Hmm...I dunno if it makes sense lol but maybe there's a possibility he is in training with Jor El. Just what confuses me is that there is no fortress.... Maybe the fortress was changed so that no one can physically see it except for the one with the destiny :/. If I remember right- Lex was the one who was about to have the destiny? Anyways, if Michael does come back- hopefully- that sounds pretty cool that he would be trained up when he comes back- then maybe in the mean time- Clark would have trained but in a different way on earth (he just doesn't realise it.). Anyway if that's their battle- clark could win because of his journey to superman this season. I do like the crystal theory too. I had other thoughts like phantom zone lol but I can't think the logic there...

The fortress is gone and has become the crystal that created it once again. It was broken down to its basic element. Jor-El is in that crystal. Lex is roaming around the world. The strange thing is that Lex is doing that when traditionally in the comics, it was Clark who roamed around the world, saving people and learning about it before becoming Superman.

What would be cool is if Clark starts reading about random acts of evil happening around the world as recognition that Lex is getting around.

We were told he isn't in the arctic anymore so he is held captive with amnesia thawing out in Hawaii. I wish I was there right now. I'm not looking forward to winter in Michigan.

thank you, Kathryn! Yeah, it would be very cute if there was an "Otis" reference, at least.

Maybe if Rosenbaum comes back he can mention meeting some guy named Otis whereever TPTB decide he was!

I think I know exactly where Lex is: He's inside the Crystal of Knowledge. Once Clark gets that back to rebuild the Fortress, Lex could come back.

Very good! I've no idea what Rogaine is but I can guess. It would make nice continuity with his ponytail issues from Justice. ;)
(Nice username too)

I like the idea of Lex as an anti-Hulk. Maybe he's roaming the US putting small girls in burning buildings, or helping nefarious businessmen buy up the land on which poor immigrant workers toil. He might even trick a little blind boy into following his dog into a disused quarry.
