Jason's turn for worse?

I just finished watching season 4 (for the second time). I missed this the first time around as well: When exactly does Jason start working with his mother? Is there a big plot hole here, or am I watching the shows too late at night to remember some of the details? All I can recall for sure is that right after Bridget Crosby was found at Lex's house, Jason was suddenly a baddie working with evil mom. Don't recall any conversation or explaination on how that came to be??

That's a good question. I don't remember the exact moment... but didn't Genevieve have a conversation with him about how he could never trust anyone as much as his mother... or about family loyalty. I think that's when he had a change of heart. It was abrupt. I guess the CW was developing Supernatural and he got the job... so they had to contrive a reason to get rid of Jason.

After the episode Bound, you can see a change in Jason when his mother turns up in Smallville.

Wasn't Jason always working wit his mother? I can't remember which episode but isn't there an episode where they show a picture of Jason talking with Genevieve in Paris the day before Jason takes Lana to the Church?

I think Jason was always working with his mother but at the beginning of his relationship with Lana, he felt more of a connection to her than the stones...however, once the relationship began to fizzle and he realised the stones were within his reach he definately took a turn for the worse and began exploring his dark side.

At the start of season 4 i really liked Jason, he seemed a decent guy and a good friend to Clark. What a turn though, one minute he is having a heart to heart with Clark about football the next he is sticking a shotgun in Marthas face.

I always wondered the same thing, I can never remember when exactly Jason became evil. LOL, I mean I guess he was in on the whole thing with his mom...but I just got confused as to whose side he was really on...and then he went psycho..last epi where he comes to kill the Kents...LMAO!

I think they were trying to say that he was working for his mother the whole time, which doesn't make much sense. But just like any great couples they have to ruin the goodness to pull around the plot. I love Lana & Jason. He saw her for more then what she saw in the mirror. And he really respected her, unlike some people we know.
