Not physical. So is it imaginary?
Something out of someone's nightmare in Scare, maybe?
Never mind; that wouldn't be discussed by other characters. :o

Is it the sound, Kara's ship was emitting?
Nevermind, that's not middle Season. 3,4, & 5. right?
But, is it some kind of sound?
Like the sound Baern heard from the Fortress in Fallout?
Darn, not a middle season guess, again:/
I think, Clark is the only one that could hear the sound from the Stones of Power, so it wouldn't be discussed. Hmm, was there a sound that Aethyr and Namek heard in Arrival?
Is it the Phantom Zone Portal that Aethyr had?
skully
10-08-2008, 02:08 PM
So if it's not physical, but not imaginary, a memory, a spirit, a force or a dream, what does that leave?
Sparkle's portal idea is possibly deemed physical but what about the portal in Lara. Lara used it to keep track of the Kents, not sure whose life it helped save, and it was talked about by Lara, Zor-El and Kara. Probably not, given that it is S7!! :(
SparkleforSmallville

The Phantom Zone. Darn! That's S6!
We are probably jumping all around it, and it's right in front of us:lol: Sheesh!

What about the clanking noise of Nathan's tow truck in Whisper?
It allowed Clark to keep track of Nathan when he was blind.
I think Lana and Pete also made references to the tow truck when Clark asked what the noise was.
It ultimately allowed Clark to save Pete.
And it is in S3, a middle season epi.

I really don't mind the abstract. An "it" could be just about anything. For me, this game is about figuring it out from the clues and maybe thinking about things from a different perspective. It's about the Smallville "hunt" and the challenge.
Rules? Hmm,......."Where's the fun in that"?
Anyway, just my opinion;)
We don't know what "it" is, yet.

In the episode, it's related to sound. But it doesn't have to be.

How about the radio call of the Vipers game in Crisis?
Clark uses it to determine that the Vipers basketball game is actually in the future so Lana's distress call must be from the future (he uses his superhearing at the Torch to hear Adam's voice and details of the Vipers game on the recording of Lana's distress call) and to track when Adam's shot will occur.
He uses the details of the time of the game to ultimately save Lana from Adam's shot.
The two Metropolis PD detectives refer to the radio call when they are at the mansion to arrest Lex for the murders of the people at Metron labs.
We hear several versions of the call - one at the beginning of the epi on the security guard's radio at the storage facility (and again later in the epi when Adam and Lana are actually at the facility), one on the Teen Crisis Hotline recording and one on the Kent's radio.

Is it Chloe's red mug/cup of coffee from Wrath?
-It's a common household item.
-When it was shaking, it gave indication to Chloe that something weird was going on (the Clana super sex)
-The cup was red (primary color).
-Cups don't usually shake like that on a regular basis and the last time there was an earthquake in Smallville it wasn't caused by Clark and Lana's ability to have sex.
-It's not seen in the bathroom and Chloe had it in her apartment in the Talon (I think that's where she was in that scene at least).

Yes, it was Chloe's red coffee cup at the Talon that had ripples in the coffee as Clark and Lana were doing the super wild thing in Wrath!!
The unusual activity I was referring to was obviously the supersex, and it was doubly unusual because the Clana sex part hardly ever happens and when it last did it was just good ol' ordinary rumpy pumpy (Mortal) that was probably earth-shaking for Clark and Lana but not for the rest of Smallville!!

What about the Famous Franks hot dog Lois had in Grant Gabriel's office in Wrath just before superpowered Lana came in to demand that GG do a story on the evils of Lex.
The Dog was in a red and white wrapper, GG said it could survive a nuclear holocaust, and Lois couldn't believe GG had never had a FF before, and that his attitude to the Dog was similar to his lack of being "down" with the people.
And everyone should have looked in Wrath straight away. It's m73's all-time fave epi!!! :) :D

The item is not any form of key.
The kryptonite Octagonal disk that Lionel built for the cave. It was not used by Lionel but instead Clark used it to destroy his ship. (I suppose the disk also falls under a key)

It was in a late season episode (6, 7 or 8). Bit early to narrow it to one season just yet!!! :D
