Recap for the new page:

This item is a common item that would be found in many households
Jonathan tosses this item to Clark while they are working on the tractor
Martha was there, too
Jonathan wasn't overly happy during the conversation
The item can fit in one hand, but not a closed fist (but not far off).
The item is not mentioned and is irrelevant to the topic being discussed.
It is not part of a larger item.
It has absolutely no significance to the scene, the episode or the series. :D
It could be found in the kitchen but normally would be found or stored elsewhere.
One of the mains is current, and neither were a guest. Both mains are male.
The item is made of a synthetic material, probably closest to plastic. Not metal or wood and it is not edible.
It is not a game or toy.
The garage is probably the most likely place to find this item in a normal home. Perhaps not where this item was normally stored in the episode though.
It is a multi-purpose item but it was being used on a vehicle prior to the exchange. In a pinch it could be used for plumbing purposes.
It is not Jonathan's knife, a rag, keys, a tool, screwdriver or wrench, nails or bolts.
It was not seen in Mortal.

What is it?

Is it something Jonathan keeps in his toolbox?
Is it perhaps seen in Legacy?
Does the controversial matter have something to do with Lex?

Does the controversial matter have something to do with Lex?The item could very well be found in a toolbox, and other areas in the barn.

It is not seen in Legacy.

The controversial matter has nothing to do with Lex. It's a Kent family matter.

This is a common item, but this specific one was seen in a single episode.
A main character was excited to show it to a guest.
The guest's reaction was not entirely what the main expected.

Is the main character still a main? Are they male or female?

Did the main character not want the guest to react the way they did to this item?
Did the guest not want the main to find this item?

MrsK
07-18-2009, 11:24 PM
No, it is seen in a single episode location.
The main thought the guest would be happier than he/she was.
The guest didn't know about the item until it was presented by the main, so no, nothing about not wanting it to be found.

It is sort of relevent to the plot.
It is made of paper.
It can fit in one hand.
It is not a document, contract or note.

What is it?

----- Added 6 Minutes later -----

Hmm, related to two main characters. Must be Lara (related to Clark and Kara). And the other main surely is Clark?

What did they both touch?

Ah, how about the polaroid shot Kara took of Lara in the Kent farmhouse when they both came through the portal before Krypton's demise, as seen in Kara's flashbacks while on Agent Carter's memory machine in Lara. Although Kara did briefly handle the photo after she took it and again after Clark opened the back of the photo frame where Lara had hidden it. And Lana also briefly held it at the end of the episode when Clark showed her the picture. Lana said "she's stunning".

So possibly not, given the polaroid is seen several times in the episode (or did you mean only seen in one episode, Mel?). Was there anything else only Lara and Clark touched?

MrsK
07-22-2009, 09:17 AM
Lara had powers, though, since she was Kryptonian. But I can't think who else it could be...

The main had a similar item but the item in question did not belong to him/her.

The item is usually used correctly and has been in the series, and in fact, the episode in question.

We don't see the specific item at the Kent farm, the mansion or any LuthorCorp facility or building, although similar items may have been seen at LuthorCorp facilities in the series.

So...

This was seen in 2 consecutive episodes and was relevant to the plot of both.
Jonathan saw it and did something stupid.
It was handled by Jonathan (off-screen), Martha, Lionel and Sheriff Ethan.
It is handled by Martha and Lionel in one location; A main, Jonathan and Sheriff Ethan off screen on separate occasions, and Sheriff Ethan in a third location.

What is it?

Is this accurate, MrsK?

And Clark and Lana were at his house? Were they there together?
Is the guest Tobias Rice?

skully
08-05-2009, 09:47 PM
Yes, they were at his house, and not really together (Lana didn't know Clark was there). Yes, the guest is Tobias.

Now, find the item. :D

Recapping:

As far as I can tell this item has only been seen once.
It definitely wouldn't be described as a common object.
It has similarities with a fad item.
It is decorative (not functional at all).
It belongs to Tobias Rice and is seen at his house when both Lana and Clark are there.
It is totally irrelevant to the plot.
It can be held and lifted on one hand but not a closed fist.
It is made of hard material. Looks like wood.

What is it?

(Trying not to have to get the dvd out...)Hehehe, you'll be skillful if you don't get the DVD out!! :)

It is a piece of wooden sculpture, and looks like an item people had a fad with some years ago.

If you know the scene, you may be able to Youtube it and note the item.

Does it sit on the floor? The desk? The mantel?

Is it the little pyramid thing made of cubes sitting on the desk, just to the left of the computer monitor?

MrsK

Could be. I watched the scene on YouTube, and I didn't really see anything else that fit the clues...

Haha, I had to bust out my dvd and watch it, pausing everytime the camera zoomed out over the entire room. That was the only thing I saw that maybe fit it's description.

Is it the little pyramid thing made of cubes sitting on the desk, just to the left of the computer monitor? That's it Melissa!! Well done and welcome to the trivia threads. :)

It is to the left of Tobias's computer and seen when Clark protects Tobias from Dr Bethany's taser weapon. It looks like a wooden Rubik's Cube standing on one corner.

You're up. :)

recurring guest appears in 10 episodes, male, alive, powerless

Was it the expensive necklace Martha borrowed from Lionel for the party at the beginning of Arrow? Ollie stole it (as GA) and Clark ended up meeting him in the process of trying to track it down.
