Is the connection something spoken about someone, about something, in reference to a main or a guest?
It is a reference to someone, but not a main or guest

Is it in reference to Naman or Sageeth?

Is it a reference to a family member / friend via a photograph?
I remember Metallo losing a picture of his sister (or girlfriend)

These tribonds seem to go on forever. They're really bogged down lately...
Is it a reference to a family member / friend via a photograph?
I remember Metallo losing a picture of his sister (or girlfriend)
No, it is a reference to someone outside the Smallville universe.
Is it a reference to a Historical figure or someone from Greek or Roman mythology?
Is it a reference to Goliath?
ozone25
01-28-2010, 02:19 PM
who knew the mighty Goliath could be taken down with a simple stone
Is it a reference to Goliath?
Yes - Well done, jsm! :)
Whew, that one lasted nearly a month! I'll make an easier one:
-Obscura
-Dichotic
-Covenant
What's the bond?
Hmm... someone tries to kill Chloe in each of those. Is that it?
No, that's not it. Good guess, though.
Character-related? Dialog-related?
Same character in each episode? A main?
Yes, same character in each episode. The person is a guest.
Oh! Gabe Sullivan is in each of those episodes!
That's it! Gabe Sullivan appears in those three episodes! Good job!
Mwahaha! Today is a good Smallville day. :-) Now let's see... This one may be kind of easy.

Related to the meteor shower?
Eh... sort of, but not exactly.
We see Lex as a child? We see Lex with hair?
Seeing Lex as a child, yes. Good job. :-)
Alright, here's the new one:
-Run
-Arrival
-Justice
What's the bond?
Is it plot-related? Character-related? Dialog-related?
Hmm... is the term "faster than a speeding bullet" used in all of those?
Yes, it is!
Run- Hanison to Bart: "Let's see if you're faster than a speeding bullet."
Arrival-Chloe to Clark: "I know you run faster than a speeding bullet, Clark."
Justice- Lex to Lionel: "Whoever is responsible has the ability to move faster than a speeding bullet."
Great job! :)
Wow. I was only sure that it was in "Arrival." Now, let's see...
Spell
Oracle
Hex
Is it dialogue/plot/character related?
A birthday?
Spell and Hex: Chloe
Oracle: Clark
Saph, you got it right. Good job. :) Your turn.
Thanks!
Drone
Crimson
Committed
I was trying to figure this one out, but couldn't come up with anything. Could you give us a hint? Like is the connection a character, dialogue, prop, or plot related?
It's plot related...like an occasion
Maybe a party:
Drone: Chad's victory party
Crimson: Lex and Lana's
Committed: Chloe and Jimmy's engagement party
Yeah, that'll work. I was thinking of parties at the Talon specifically so in Crimson it would be the Valentine's day party (and I'm guessing by Chad you mean Chan?)
Your turn James!
Yeah, I meant Paul Chan.
New one:
- Raya
- Jonathan Kent
- Jor-El
What's the bond?
All died in Clark's arms?
That's correct! Perhaps I made it too easy. :)
You're up!
Okay...
Redux
Phoenix
Jinx
Well, there's the obvoius guess:
They all end with the letter X?
And sometimes the obvious answer is the right one! I was hoping that would be overlooked for a bit...
Well done; you're up! :)

Can I play?
I think in all three episodes we see in Clark time where it looks like everyone else is standing still. Is that it?
Of course you can play! Welcome to K-site!
You have half of it, but something else is in common in those slow-motion scenes.
ReignoftheSupermen
02-12-2010, 01:40 PM
Rain is stopped or frozen?
Correct! Each episode has a slow-motion scene in the rain!
Crush- Whitney's dad's funeral
Accelerate- Clark chasing Emily
Crisis- The bullet Adam shoots at Lana
Good job! :D
No, that's not it. That happens in nearly every episode!
Hehe - true! :D It was all I could think of at the moment, though.
Well done, Reign! Your turn. :)

Probably not right, but is it that one of the main characters went flying on a jet? Oliver in "Bride", Chloe in "Rabid", and Lex in "Sleeper." We didn't see him on the jet, but we know he used it as he went to Zurich.

Such as
Sleeper: Chloe hacking into computer looking for Kara and Brainiac
Bride: Doomsday comes in and attacks
Rabid: Clarks blood is the cure
Is this it????
Is it that they all start with a scene from the middle of the episode and then flash back to tell the story from the beginning?

Is it that they all start with a scene from the middle of the episode and then flash back to tell the story from the beginning?
Yup, this was it. :)
Sleeper: Showed Jimmy as a spy and went to the beginning of the day.
Bride: Showed bits and pieces of Chloe's wedding and Doomsday then to the beginning of the day.
Rabid: Showed Lois as a "Zombie", and then went to the beginning of the day.
Others could have been Fanatic and Combat I believe.

24 hour rule?
-a visitor to the Kent farm who doesn't say much
-an uncommon piece of apparel worn by a main character
-a beverage consumed by a guest star
Not sure where you are going with this one...
are these three things that are related? Do we have to solve each clue first?
- Is the visitor who doesn't say much Maddie (Fragile)?
- Does the main wear this on more than one occasion? Is the main currently a main (in S9 opening credits)? A main in multiple seasons? Male or female? Ever a guest? Alive? Older or younger than Clark?
- Is the guest in question recurring
ReignoftheSupermen
05-11-2010, 06:32 PM
sorry so confusing. All of these things have a quality in common (Im looking for an adjective). The visitor is not maddie. The main wears this garment just once. Although another main also wears an unusual garment with this quality and we do see it on him in mulitple episodes. Both main characters are male, mulitple season. The one who wears the garment in mulitple episodes was once a guest and is now dead. He is older than Clark.
The person who consumed the beverage was a one-timer (male)
Is the main who wears this garment multiple times Lionel?
Is the one who wears it once alive? a current main? Clark's age? A little older?
Regarding the guest who doesn't speak much - is the person male or female? Older, younger, or Clark's age? in a single episode or more than one? powers? still alive? Incarcerated (Belle Reve or prison)?
How about the guest with the beverage - is it alcoholic? Is the guest still alive? Incarcerated (Belle Reve or prison)? does he have powers? age in relation to Clark?
ReignoftheSupermen

Is the main who wears this garment multiple times Lionel?
yes
Is the one who wears it once alive? a current main? Clark's age? A little older?
The one who wears it once IS Clark. *FYI - Lionel and Clark do not wear the same kind of garment both garments would be considered "uncommon" and both have this particular quality.
Regarding the guest who doesn't speak much - is the person male or female? Older, younger, or Clark's age? in a single episode or more than one? powers? still alive? Incarcerated (Belle Reve or prison)?
I don't want any wild goose chases here. The reason this visitor "doesn't talk much" is because it can't talk. It's an animal. Gender unknown as far as I know.
How about the guest with the beverage - is it alcoholic? Is the guest still alive? Incarcerated (Belle Reve or prison)? does he have powers? age in relation to Clark?
non alcoholic
guest is still alive
not incarcerated
no powers
a little younger than Clark

Hmmm, no takers? I was looking for the color orange.

Does it have something to do with the actors that play these characters as opposed to the characters themselves?
Is it something plot-related?
Fortress of Multitude
08-10-2010, 11:00 AM
It's not really plot-related, and it has to do with how the characters were originally introduced.
Hm... Chloe was first seen making a bet with Pete; Lucas was first seen playing poker; does it have something to do with gambling? Doesn't really fit with Genevieve, though...

Not relevant to the plot. When it is seen, it is handled by a main (both time) and a recurring guest once.
Is the main or mains that handle(s) it current? MS? M/F? ever a guest? alive? human? bearded? Clark's age?

Plot-related? Prop-related? Character-related? Dialog-related?
ReignoftheSupermen
06-25-2011, 08:43 PM
Closest fit would be "prop" although the "prop" is not identical in all three cases
----- Added 36 Seconds later -----
I guess you could even say plot-related too. Depends on how you want to frame it.
Is the prop a common item?
Functional?
Can it be held with one hand?
ReignoftheSupermen
06-25-2011, 09:25 PM
Oh boy, I'm starting to regret saying "prop". "Prop" refers to a type of thing, not necessarily the SAME thing. For example, "Christmas stuff". In some cases, it's a tree. In others, it's a wreath or bell. Maybe even lights or a manger. See what I mean? Think of it more as a category of props rather than a single unifying prop.
The "props" are functional but there is a recreational component as well.
They could probably be lifted with one hand. It's not so much an issue of weight as it would be the awkwardness of it.
Okay, I think I understand what you mean.
Hm. Hydro had so much going on in it, maybe I should concentrate on the other two...
Do the props that these eps have in common have to do with the plots of the eps, or are they simply in the background? Are they actually used/handled by anyone?
ReignoftheSupermen
07-05-2011, 03:04 PM
Simply background. Yes, handled.
Recap:
-Stray
-Lucy
-Hydro
prop-related, although the prop is not identical - falls into the same category
They are handled, but are not relevant to the plot
Are they handled in all 3 episodes?
Ever mentioned?
Is the prop seen in the opening teaser of any of the episodes? If so, which one(s)?

07-06-2011, 03:56 PM
Are they handled in all 3 episodes?
Ever mentioned?
Is the prop seen in the opening teaser of any of the episodes? If so, which one(s)?
Someone handles the props in all three episodes (at least one different person on each occasion but there is some overlap in two of the occasions - meaning that some of the same people ALSO handle the props in two of the episodes). They are mentioned. The props are not seen in the opening teaser of any of the episodes (not that important).
----- Added 1 Minutes later -----
*Two of the instances are more like each other than the third. (On two of the occasions, the props are seen and referred to in the same place and with the same three people present).
Are the 3 people mains? (Current, MS, M/F, ever guests, alive, bearded, human, Clark's age?) Or guests (>2, <5, ever main, M/F, alive, human, powers, comatose, incarcerated, Clark's age?)

The 3 mains...
#1 current, MS, male, never a guest, alive, not bearded, alien, Clark's age

#3 not current, MS, female, has been a guest, alive, not bearded, human, much older than Clark

Hmmm. Prop related? Dialogue related?
Not really prop or dialogue. A similar activity.
ReignoftheSupermen
07-09-2011, 10:15 AM
Was the activity some sort of recreational thing? Did it involve movement/transportation?
Not recreational or transportation. Does involve movement.
ReignoftheSupermen
07-09-2011, 08:49 PM
Something work related?
ReignoftheSupermen
07-10-2011, 03:44 PM
Are the people who perform this activity the same in all three occassions?
ReignoftheSupermen
07-10-2011, 04:57 PM
No. 3 different people.
How many are mains? RGs? SEGS?
Are the mains: m/f, MS, ever a guest? Older than Clark? Alive? Alien? Bearded?
RGs/SEGs: m/f, 2>5 episodes? ever a main? Alive? Jailed? in a coma?
2 mains: current, MS, M, never a guest, alive, alien, Clark's age and current, MS, M, was a guest, alive, human, a bit older than Clark
1 RG: 2 episodes, M, never a main, dead
ReignoftheSupermen
07-10-2011, 05:14 PM
So Clark and Lex are the mains
Is Ryan himself the RG?
If so does ryan do this activity in ryan?
Does Clark do the activity in Mortal? Or does Lex?
Clark and Ryan, but not Lex
Ryan does do this in Ryan and Clark does it in Mortal
ReignoftheSupermen
07-10-2011, 05:23 PM
Does "a bit older" than Clark mean "a lot". Is it Jonathan?
no, Lex would be a bit older, Jonathan would be a lot older. It isn't Jonathan.
ReignoftheSupermen
07-11-2011, 10:00 AM
Oliver? Is he older than Clark? Never thought about that before.
Yes, Oliver. He is Lex's age.
ReignoftheSupermen
07-12-2011, 09:24 AM
So does Ryan do this activity in Ryan?
Clark in Mortal?
Oliver in Salvation?
I'm tempted to say fighting (Clark fought in Mortal and Oliver fought in Salvation) but I don't think Ryan threw any punches...
You have the characters and episodes matched correctly.
The activity is not fighting.
ReignoftheSupermen
07-12-2011, 05:01 PM

07-13-2011, 09:14 AM
Hmm, did they do this activity alone, or with others present?
ReignoftheSupermen
07-14-2011, 09:50 AM
Does it involve talking? Reading? Exercise? Sitting?
None of the above. Each of them is talking while they are engaged in this "activity", but it isn't really related to what they are doing.
ReignoftheSupermen

So they're by themselves but they're talking? Are they walking? Standing still? Laying down?
Yes, they are by themselves but they are talking.
They are not walking, standing still, or lying down.

Not sitting. Not standing. Not walking. Not standing still. Maybe laying down? Sleeping?

Not lying down, sleeping or reading.

Ahhhh, I got it. The screencaps REALLY helped.
All three (Ryan, Clark, Oliver) were seen crawling through a vent.

Good job, Reign. That is exactly what I had in mind. :)
Does yours have something to do with Lois and Clark?
ReignoftheSupermen

Partially to do with Clark in two of the cases. Nothing to do with Lois.
Plot-related? Dialog-related? Prop-related?

Plot-related? Dialog-related? Prop-related?
Closest would be plot in that it has to do with something somebody does.
So it is something Clark does in 2 episodes and someone else does in the other?
Is the someone else a main? (Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, human, bearded, Clark's age?)
ReignoftheSupermen
07-17-2011, 03:42 PM
The someone else is an SEG. Also, there is another person involved in each of the cases. That person is the same in all three occasions.
Is the SEG male or female? Alive? Powers? (If so, from meteor rocks?) Human? Incarcerated? (jail or Belle Reve?) Comatose? Clark's age?
Is the other person a main? (Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, human, bearded, Clark's age?)

The SEG is: female, alive, powers, not from meteor rocks, not human, not incarcerated, not comatose, appears to be about Clark's age
The other person is a main: current (deceased), MS, female, never a guest, human, about Clark's age (maybe slightly older)
So the other person is Tess?
Is the SEG blonde, brunette, or red-headed? Is she from a planet other than Earth?
ReignoftheSupermen

Red headed. Not from Earth.

yes
So something Maxima does in Instinct that Clark does in Pandora and Persuasion?
In Pandora, is the relevant act in Lois's memory of the future?

So something Maxima does in Instinct that Clark does in Pandora and Persuasion?
Yes, and Tess is involved in all three cases.
In Pandora, is the relevant act in Lois's memory of the future?
There's a "loose" connection. Not so much to what Lois SEES in the future, but rather what Tess does to access those memories.
Does it involve Tess getting thrown across a room?

Yes! It's a Tess toss!

Plot and character, I guess. It is something the same character does in each episode.

Is it something Clark...
-Does when he's alone, or is there one or more others present
-Does at the Farm? The Talon? Smallville High? The mansion? Other common series location?
-Does it involve one of his abilities?
-Is he moving at the time or standing still?
-Is he speaking at the time or silent?
I just realized that one of the three episodes I listed was the wrong one! :o
It should be:
Nicodemus
Scare
Hypnotic
There are others present in each case.
Once at the farm, once at the mansion, and once at a not-so-common part of another common location.
It does involve one of his abilities.
He is standing/sitting basically still, or takes maybe one step, not talking.
ReignoftheSupermen
07-25-2011, 09:56 AM
is the Nicodemus instance: at the farm, at the mansion or at the not-so-common part of another common location?
Same questions for Scare and Hypnotic.
----- Added 1 Minutes later -----
Does Clark use an ability WHILE doing this thing or IS the thing the actual use of an ability?
Nicodemus - mansion
Hypnotic - farm
Scare - other location
It is the use of an ability for a specific purpose
