I know I would. After seven years, with no flying, he finally flies. Think about it, it could just happen.

Everybody would freak out whether or not they wanted him to fly.

i have a dance prepared... there are various moves, super cool, that are too complicated to explain over the interent... but my 'clark flies' dance will rock the world!!!!

I wouldn't because it would be yet another unexplained turnaround. They could have easily made him fly in season 7 instead of Kara. He should have been the one teaching her.

Lol. Just don't let anybody film that, you don't want to end up on the web like the Star Wars kid.

Yup. I'd freak out. It'd be daring... and Smallville usually plays it safe.

I wouldn't "freak out" at first because I'd be extremely shocked. Then I'd start celebrating as the episode that airs the week after comes around. :o

They're gonna save that for the finale..No way would they have him fly in the premiere

But they could let him behave like a mature person with a brain. That doesn't cost as much as flight and is almost as good to watch.

No, but I will freak if Shelby flies in and saves him from the crumbling fortress...

wow, yes that would be cool if he'd fly out there!!!

But actually I highly doubt that he'll do it. I'd be happy if they let him fly towards the end of season 8.

I would be excited if he did fly but not jumping all over the place. Unless he changed the style of his flying. Anytime he has flown he looks squashed in is he not allowed to outstretch his arms.

I liked his flight in "Crusade". It really looked cool. Actually I think flying with arms streched out looks not so good.

I will freak out in a GOOD way. Clark flying is a long waited dream to come true... I have been expecting him to fly for quite some time now, because of all the clues that were introduced during this season. But i would be quite surprised if he did that in the premiere because it will definitely be out of the blue..

Meh, he is going to fly at one point so no biggie.
Think the question should be 'when' do we expect him to fly....

i'd freak in a good way , then i would probably pass out :)

Este

Nah, I wouldn't freak out. I think it's quite possible that TPTB will have him fly sporadically, spurred on by his emotions at first, and learn to control the ability in the last episodes of the series.
But I would freak out completely if the S8 premiere starts with "10 Years Later".

I will do a happy dance just I did like when he flew in Crusade...Umm,he was so hot with the black shirt :p

I will likely do my little dance in the finale.I hope the scene will last a few minutes. After all,we have waited for that moment for so long :)

Superman of Krypton

What would cause him to fly in the premiere? Lex is gone and Bloomesday likely won't be a threat yet..

Clark Kent is likely staying grounded.

I freaked out when Kal flew in Crusade .... one of the best SV moment ever :D *sigh* letīs see if Clark Kent can top that

I liked how Clark flew in season 4 better than how they make Kara fly. It looks more natural somehow for Clark. I think Kara exaggerates her movements too much.

sigh.......i don't think i will freak out simply because it has taken so long....i imagine my reaction will be more of "well it's about #*%^ing time.....sigh..."

So far 1/3 flight stances have been shown for "Superman" on this show. Hopefully next time Clark flies it'll be one of the other two stances.

The arms at side shown in "Crusade"

One arm outstretch, other arm near armpit

I would because it would seem way too random given the events of Arctic. The Fortress of Solitude collapses and suddenly Clark can fly?

that will be a show stopper lol

clark wouldnt fly until he accepts his destiny.
I dont care about him flying, all I care about is him accepting his destiny, thats all that really matters

I'd probably pass out with all honesty.
Then think it was a dream.

Agreed 100%.
All they did with Kara was make her fly to be honest. I started to tire of it after 'Cure'.

Haha, yeah. That's why it would shock me so much. The only thing I can think of how he COULD fly is if, to save Clark, Jor-El gave him his abilites back, and flight was included in the package. :D

He has the ability to fly regardless of the condition of the FOS, he's just too afraid to do it.

I think it'll just seem out of place if Clark flies now. It shouldn't happen til the end of the show at the series finale. There doesn't seem like there is a need for him to fly anymore. If it was gonna happen it should have happened when Kara and Brainiac were around, now that they are both gonna I don't see a reason for it.

I thought him flying in Crusade was one of the best scenes of the show, but when he finally does learn to fly it should be for a good reason and be part of whatever story they decide to go with this coming season and not just because everyone really wants it.

When he flies it should be at the end of the show when he accepts his destiny.

Wouldn't it be so funny if they had a psychiatrist for Clark, like Dr. Melfi on the Sopranos? She would be trying to figure out what his diagnosis is without knowing key secret information about him, similar to Tony Soprano (except for the sociopath part).

After being in therapy, he would realize the cause of his fear of flying and finally do it.

I would love to see him fly in the premiere.

I've always thought that the series should end with him flying out of the fortress of solitude, like the Richard Donner film. He flies past the camera and the credits roll.

He's already flown when he was Kal-El, going after the crystal, and he flew (essentially) in Hidden. The question is whether we want the suit, or not.

Kal26
06-26-2008, 02:02 PM
I'd love to see him in the suit, but I'd definitely settle for just flying.

supermanover21
06-30-2008, 02:45 PM
It's no end if he isn't in the suit. Personally, I'd rather see someone else other than TW in the suit. Someone who looks just like him. I just can't see TW as... Superman.

I know what you mean supermanlover21. I can't picture his face on the Superman suit.

RedKRules
06-30-2008, 04:48 PM
Since this is about Clark Kent's journey, if he wears or not the suit doesn't bother me at all .
yes.. I think I'd freak if he flies ... just like I did when Kal did !! :D

supermanover21
06-30-2008, 04:54 PM
Well, like you said... this is about his Journey. At the end of his journey he flies. They ruined it, though, with Crusade. It won't have the impact, anymore.

RedKRules
06-30-2008, 05:00 PM
I don't think it will have the same impact either .. :D but I gotta say I loved Kal!! :D:p
