How about Dichotic?

-Helen's nametag at the anger management class says "Bored Silly" (something my daughter found hilarious and now does whenever she has to wear a name tag!)

-Pete and Clark plot to catch Ian in two places at once. That's the one MrsK. The cooking clue comes when Lana is moving in with the Sullivans and offers to cook dinner. Gabe Sullivan says "Mi casa, su casserole." So we have evidence that both Lana and Mr Sullivan can cook.

Okay.

A countdown

Well the countdown thing definately makes me think of Commencement but the other two clues don't really fit. And I don't think they've ever down a New Year's episode where characters would be counting down to midnight.

-An older main character (meaning Lionel, Jonathan, or Martha) says a line which is used in the recap teaser for the next episode.
-A main character throws a sharp object.
-A main male character tries to be compassionate to a female main character in a time of danger.

Dr. Walden
07-27-2008, 04:28 PM
I'd guess Vessel, just because of Clark throwing the dagger into Fine, and both Lex and Clark trying to be compassionate to Lana.

Yep, it was Redux. After I posted this one, I thought maybe I had used this one before but I don't think I did. However, I do think I used Principal Reynolds as the subject of a Who Am I?

What I considered to be "spoiled" was the swimming match at the beginning when Clark's competition is "attacked". The history I was referring to was Chrissy's.

Trespass?

-Snow at the mansion as well as the fire during the first Lexana scene, I believe.

skully

So season 5:

Lana lies to protect someone
A similar line repeated intentionally
A main character other than Jonathan turns the tables on Lex.

Thinking....

----- Added 29 Minutes later -----

I think I might have it. I think it's Mortal.

Lana lies that the cigarettes that Sheriff Adams notices in the kitchen are hers, to stop the Sheriff snooping, thus protecting Martha from being harmed by Lee.

The repeated lines are Chloe's "Sometimes it's easier if you just turn off the power" to open the door to Level 3, and Clark's "Sometimes it's easier to just turn the power off" when he defeats Lee back at the farmhouse by sledgehammering the power board.

Clark turns the tables on Lex when he fronts him at the mansion about the video feed that he was watching Clark with at Level 3 (i.e. Lex had set up a trap for Clark to try to expose his secret), whacks him and terminates the friendship - forever (in one of TW's best ever set of lines "This whole thing was a set up. A test! And to do it, you put Lana and my family in danger" and "I thought we could start over, Lex, but you're too obsessed with the past. But, I'm different now and I'm through playing games with you. You wanna test me? You wanna see what I'm really made of, you do it yourself, you coward" - hell yeah!!).

Still one of my favorite episodes in my favorite season.

Dr. Walden
08-01-2008, 01:10 PM

A jealous reaction
An impressive toy

Dr. Walden
08-01-2008, 06:44 PM
I'd guess Metamorphosis. There was a farmer's market, and I think maybe Lex left the apple somewhere after he only took one bite. Jealous reaction could be Whitney to Greg, or Greg to Lana about Clark. The impressive toy would be Lex's war setup or whatever it was that his father got him when he was young.

Bizarro?

-Clark Kent/Bizarro steals/kidnaps Lex from jail.
-There's a test of friendship between Clark and Lois when they meet at the hospital b/c Lois doesn't know if Clark is completely devoted to helping Chloe.
-Phillippe (sp?) gets "amnesia" because he doesn't remember how he got into the dam or how Bizarro got inside him and left.

I find it awkward that you put "Clark Kent" instead of just "Clark", so maybe there was something different with Clark (like a phantom or something was replacing him).

Not guessed yet. We witness Clark steal something tangible and it is an inanimate object. Clark also does not return what he stole. There are also two cases of amnesia in the episode, if that helps.

Also, m73, me putting Clark Kent was meant in no way to be tricky. It is Clark.

Maybe Crusade? Clark had amnesia. He stole the fire element from Lex's jet. And Clark's friendship with Lex was tested and given a second chance (although that part actually spills over into Gone).

skully

It is Vortex, MrsK but my clues relate to:

Opportunites: 1. Clark being at the wreck of the trailer/camper van, xraying it quickly and then dismissing it as a possible location of Jonathan, even when Chloe thought she heard something. 2. Clark asked Chloe about their relationship (when they were searching) and instead of going for it Chloe said "I think that it might be better if we just stayed really good friends" and then later regretted it.

You got the Wizard of Oz reference.

And the ungrateful moment was when blind Lionel told Lex he should have let him die instead of ordering the operation.

Clark broke the tractor by accident.

Lionel complimented Lex on surviving because he is his son.
