hm... Unsafe?

skully
07-08-2008, 08:58 AM
Not Unsafe. Do you mean Pariah, when Alicia took Chloe in her car and made Clark catch the vehicle? Not it either.

krewsaider
07-08-2008, 11:06 AM
Rush?

MrsK
07-08-2008, 11:17 AM
As MrsK correctly points out, no I didn't know whether the list was comprehensive. I have a passable knowledge of Star Wars references but not enough to match them to lines in SV.

So Chloe has used the "Galaxy far far away line" other than in Bizarro and prior to S7?

----- Added 11 Minutes later -----

OK, I think I have it. Is it Static? The Star Wars reference is Chloe's line to Clark at the DP when she refers to Zoners and activities in Seattle "They're from galaxies far, far away." and that Clark can't go unarmed. Martian Manhunter makes his first appearance on the Seattle docks at night after he saved Clark from the Zoner. Lionel moves 33.1 for Lex to save it from being exposed by Bronson.

----- Added 21 Minutes later -----

It's late so if I'm wrong then forget this question.

A deepest desire revealed and realised
A Clark super-save
An illegal joy-ride.

Which episode?

I don't know all the SW references, either - just knew it wasn't complete b/c the episode I was thinking of wasn't included! Skully is absolutely right - I was looking for Static.

----- Added 4 Minutes later -----

If it's not Rush, how about Nicodemus?

Lana's deepest desire to climb the windmill on Chandler's field revealed and realized.
Clark saves Lana when she falls.
Lana takes off in Lex's car.

-M-Yup, she really is the quintessential Smallville detail expert. I'm pleased if I can get her to think for more than half a day on a quote, episode or Who am I. :)

And slight correction Mark. I'm currently up on the Who said it thread (well technically it's sv2013 but I'm holding the fort until they arrive!! ;))

-Lex discovers something about Lionel.
-Lana changes her mind.
-A new "toy" for Lex.

What episode?

skully
07-08-2008, 09:29 PM
Is the "toy" a living thing (i.e. a girlfriend, 33.1er etc) or some other non-living possession (car, spaceship, orb etc)? Does Lana change her mind about a relationship? Have you seen the episode recently? :) ;)

MrsK
07-08-2008, 09:36 PM
Good questions all! Let's see...

The "toy" is an inanimate, never-been-alive item.
Lana's change of mind is not about a romantic relationship.
And I have seen the episode in the last month, but not too recently. ;) (early season)

skully
07-08-2008, 09:41 PM
Hehehe, I thought the "recent'" question was a bit more imaginative than "early, middle or late"!! :D

krewsaider
07-08-2008, 09:45 PM
In Hothead, Lana gives up cheerleading so that's a change for her. Could it be that?

MrsK
07-08-2008, 09:57 PM
No, it's later than Hothead.

skully
07-08-2008, 10:03 PM
OK, I'm on a new page. Recapping:

Lex discovers something about Lionel.
Lana changes her mind, but not about a romantic relationship
A new inanimated "toy" for Lex.
In S1 or 2 but after Hothead.

Exodus

Chloe decides to work with Lionel to investigate Clark

Dr. Walden
07-12-2008, 06:46 PM
None of the answers given so far. Since my clues are obviously too vague, I will give more hints. It is a late season, and Lionel is the one who gives the shocking answer.

minerva73
07-12-2008, 06:59 PM
"Traveler"?

-Clark gets a helping hand from Kara and Patricia.
-There's an explosion when Kara uses her powers to save Clark.
-Lionel gives the shocking answer by admitting that he tried to capture Clark instead of Lex?

zodiscoming12345
07-12-2008, 08:17 PM
Maybe Phantom.

John Jones helps Clark realize that Lionel is good

Lana's jeep blows up

Lionel gives Clark the answer of what happened to him by telling him that Lana is dead

MrsK
07-12-2008, 08:22 PM
I'm gonna say Nemesis.

Lex gives Clark a hand
Explosion caves in the tunnels
Lionel shocks Lana with his answer that he threatened to kill Clark to force her to marry Lex because he was protecting Clark

zodiscoming12345

Rage

Lex shoots Oliver, along with Oliver shooting him.
Clark talks to Lana about Lex.
I'm not sure about Chloe's connection.

MrsK
07-15-2008, 10:31 AM
Trying to think of when Lex has shot people in suits. He shot Roger Nixon in Vortex, Curtis Knox in Cure, and Graham Garrett in Fade. He shot Morgan Edge in Shattered. Evil Lex shot a LuthorCorp security guard in Onyx. Lex shot one of Edward Teague's goons in Quest, and Clark and Kara in Apocalypse.

Is it one of those? I'm not sure all three clues fit any of those episodes (particularly the Chloe being scared clue), but I can't think what other suit-clad people else Lex has shot...

Apocalypse may fit best.

zodiscoming12345
07-15-2008, 10:34 AM
Oh dang, I thought it said that Clark talks to Lana, I didn't see that it says about Lana.

minerva73

As a general (unwritten rule), when you start shooting down guesses that actually "fit", it's probably a good idea to start steering people in a different direction (ie what's different about your episode and Visage? What could be true about YOUR episode, but not of Visage? Make sense? It's your choice, of course. But that's kind of how we do it. Maybe a particular season?

Clark is physically vulnerable (in a way other than simply kryptonite).
Two main characters meet for the first time.
A main character hits another main character.

MrsK
07-15-2008, 08:58 PM
Well, to start, Clark is physically vulnerable because of something other than kryptonite in Mortal, Hidden, Zod, Sneeze, Wither, and depending on your definition, when he goes up against Zoners in Static and Combat. Is it one of those?

And is the main character that hits another Lois hitting Clark, like she does all the time, or is it more of a fight situation?

----- Added 4 Minutes later -----

In Zod, Jimmy and Clark meet for the first time, and Lex/Zod certainly hits Clark. Is it Zod?

Family introduction after Mortal sounds like it could be Kara, Lara, or Blue, (introducing Kara, Lara, and Zor-El, all of whom Clark meets for the first time) or possibly Traveler or Veritas (introducing relatives of characters we have already met - Patricia Swann, Edward Teague and Robert Queen). OK, good question. The dialogue is not repeated verbatim. But the idea is said again. The first occurence is said off screen. We only know the character has repeated himself/herself because his/her conversation partner reminds him/her.

I wanna say "Thirst" but I can't think of a family introduction..The dead bodies would be the pizza guy and the sorority girl and the new job would be Chloe's new job at the daily planet

Multiple dead bodies
Family introductions
A new jobHow about Kara?

There were two Rangers killed at the landing site of Kara's ship.
Clark and Kara meet for the first time.
Grant Gabriel is the new editor of the DP.

Not Thirst or Kara, although Kara does fit.
To clarify the third clue: New job for a main character

So:

Multiple dead bodies
Family introductions
A new job for a main character.

Thinking...

How about Prodigal?

A bunch of Chinese dudes got shot up at the card house, and Dirk was snuffed out at Lionel's bidding.
Lionel meets Lucas again.
Clark took a job as a coffee waiter at the Talon (how gay!!).

I'm a little unclear by what you mean by "family introductions". A new family is introduced to the series? Or families are introduced to each other?

Family members introduced to one another. I am looking for a person meeting/learning about more than one family member for the first time.

Not Prodigal, though it probably does fit. These clues weren't specific enough! :(
Later in the series - a middle season ep.

Spell?

-Lana first properly encountered Isobel (her ancestor) in this episode.
-Isobel, Brianna, and Madelyn (sp?) all died at the stake.
-Lois gets a new job/assignment and that's to keep Chloe busy, so she doesn't know about the party.
