Is it one of those? I'm not sure all three clues fit any of those episodes (particularly the Chloe being scared clue), but I can't think what other suit-clad people else Lex has shot...

As a general (unwritten rule), when you start shooting down guesses that actually "fit", it's probably a good idea to start steering people in a different direction (ie what's different about your episode and Visage? The help from an unlikely source is the Native American herbal antidote to the Nicodemus flower from the book Dr Hamilton found in a museum. And the deja vu moment is Jonathan repeating the line to Clark that he'd angrily screamed down the phone to Jim the bank manager "I've done nothing but give back to this town ("community" is the word he uses to Jim), and they've done nothing but screw me over", just before he accidentally shoots Clark and collapses.

And in Clark's first dream sequence Lex refers to a ceremonial weapon used by a group of 16th century Samurai warriors, The Katai.
