Maybe it's just me but the ending left me a little confused. What is going to happen to Lex? We all know Michael is not coming back for a season 8 so i thought they would've given Lex a more definate ending. If he dead, disappeared, frozen? Can anyone shed light on this.

Yea it would have been nice if there was a more defined ending for lex like getting frozen, trapped in the Pz, on the run from the authorities hiding off in another country. People are thinking with the way it went maybe they shot something with michael and tom after the finale footage to use in the periemre to explain were lex goes.

Exactly!! Why the cliffhanger? Everyone knows Michael is not coming back. They could have ended it much better than that.

i think the writers are tied up because Michael has said goodbye in a letter to fans, he does not want to come back, so this was the best the writers could , make us sweat for the next 4 months about what happened to lex.
how will they resolve this , i don't think anyone knows for sure.
but i doubt michael will come back based solely on his letter to fans saying goodbye

i'm starting to assume that the way they'll start out with season eight is with the whole "three months later" routine, and just say that Clark emerged from the FOS, or what's left of it, unharmed and in noone's control, but the problem is, he couldn't find lex's body anywhere, and assumes that he either escaped or died in the rubble.

I'd say this is the best possible assumption one could make just based on what we know of MR not returning. I, myself, believe the same thing will happen. It's disappointing, but it smacks of Smallville.

who knows, maybe for the series finale, just like how everyone here is wanting one of the very last shots of the episode for Clark to appear in his Superman outfit, we could see the Lexcorp building, and when the new female villain walks into her office, she finds someone sitting in the chair looking at the view, and when she demands to know who it is, the person turns around and low and behold it's Lex!!..Of course if MR still doesn't feel like coming back even for the series finale, you could always have the scene shot in a way where you only see the back of Lex's head. I mean how many bald ppl are there in the smallville character list?..lol
