The director's cut was great. I thought that Kara was going to start undressing Edward Teague or something (for some of that comedic portion of the episode), so that she could get the information that she wanted from him, but she pinned him to the wall. *flashbacks from "Lara" are appearing*


Is that really Kara I thought something happened to her at the end of Quest?

She seems to be acting way out of character, so maybe it's not her. I don't think it's her at least.

hmmm...I seriously doubt that the ending we got tonight is the last bit of footage they have of MR as Lex. Based on his interview on Supermanhomepage, MR described his final scene to be "awesome" and looking into the sky (well i think on that last part)...Is it possible like some have been saying here that tptb witheld this footage to save for the season 8 premiere like they did with Lionel's death which was supposed to have taken place in "Veritas" originally but was moved back to "Descent" instead?

As my memory does serve me correct, that was the trailer for SLEEPER. We all thought that scene would happen in Sleeper, it never did.

Well, nor did it happen in Arctic.

I am just too tired of Smallville giving false scenes & hope that will never happen.

To be honest, I can see why they deleted that scene. It didnt look so hot in the trailer. He looked kind of superimposed onto the background. I was also thinking he looks a lot cooler in that trenchcoat than he would have looked in winter coat. If the scene was in the episode it would have only lasted a couple seconds anyway...wouldnt have added much.

If you're going to be pathetic and sarcastic when I was just pointing out simple FACTS and flaws in the show, HENCE because it is a CANADIAN thread...and Canadians such as myself deserve to be here discussing the show since it was on a DAY AHEAD... then I guess I will have to start firing back at you.

is it just me, or do all threads turn into arguements? anyway, i haven't actaully seen the ep yet, but i can't believe lex doesn't wear the coat. like AngelaV pointed out, chloe went to the fortress and she was freezing. lex's excitement was probably keeping him warm. lol :D

Kinda reminds me of that clip from "Run" where Clark and Bart went to Miami. In the preview I remember they showed a girl in a bikini, but we never got to see them actually there in the episode.

Yes...scenes do get cut out. But we got to see Chloe's proposal....and Jimmy talking to lex for the 500th time that episode...or Lois going over to tease clark......

They fill up the episode with all this filler crap....and then when it comes to the important stuff. Like Lex finally finding out clarks secret...it's 2 freaking minutes long! I was very disappointed with the ending. The whole episode was rushed...and I was watching for the last scene, which turned out to be a let down. :(

If you notice, that was obviously a test shot, seeing as how Lex had a different coat on, and it was in the daytime. Many complained about the mattle (sp?) lines around Lex, meaning bad green screen, so I can understand how that didnt end up being in there.

the scene where we saw in the trailer, with Lex finding the FOS from outside was actually meant to be one of the closing shots for the original "veritas" episode had it been the season 7 finale.

- Lex approaching the Fortress scene.
- That one or two character(s) that we do not expect to appear again...to appear.
- a relationship change.

I think that Lana was that character who wasn't expected to appear again. She said that she wouldn't be in the rest of Season 7, but apparently she was in "Arctic". I dunno about that, though. :o

In regards to the flight...people only saw what they wanted to see, I think. They may have hinted at it, but you could argue they did that in other seasons (remember him floating in season one?). I gave up hope after that sham of a Veritas episode description.

The major relationship change was Clark and Lana, I think. And Lana was the character not expected to appear again.

- i thought this season they were really trying with the flight build-up.
- now that i thought about it, the relationship change could be Lex/Clark faceoff or the Jimmy/Chloe proposal
- i hope the missing 'lex outside the fortress' scene will be on the dvd.

Is it me or wasnt there a shot in one of the previews a couple of weeks back where Lex is wearing a polar jacket walking up to the FOS where did that go? IT never was shown?? I was waiting for that kind of revealing moment for Lex and it never happened.:(
