I am not sure if everyone else noticed, but once Chloe drained and covered up the Kryptonite solution, light eminated briefly from Clark's chest where the House of El symbol had been carved by Edward Teague. Why do you think this happened? This does not normally occur when Clark heals, so I had tried to think if there is some sort of significance to it, but couldn't think of any. Although the special effects people might have just said "Oh let's have a light signifying Clark getting healed this time just because it looks cool" lol

I think they used that effect since it was a dark setting.

Ah ok. I just did not want read too much into it.

I thought it was pointless, personally. A simple shot of the wound closing up Wolverine-style would've sufficed.

I think it has to do with the intensity of the wound.

Wasn't that ment to be an "ancient kryptonian ritual" or something like that?

Maybe that was the reason for that light? And maybe it didn't heal completely?

We didn't see it actually after the light was gone, maybe next week?

Don't you remember when Jonathan healed Clark's wound(the Kawachi knife i think?) a few years back. Bright light poured out of clark's wound.

Yeah, but that was because Jonathan was a vessel for Jor-El. It was a part of the deal he made with Jor-El.

Well they used the effect in Bizarro and he was in sunlight. So it has to be more about the depth of the wound then the light vs. darkness of the scene.

Or maybe because that knife was made out of a kryptonian metal, like Clark said to Jonathan in that episode?

Maybe the knife with which Mr Teague carved this symbol into Clark's chest was something like that knife, too? I mean, he was talking about an ancient kryptonian ritual, so actually one can assume, that he has something from krypton to do that ritual.

And maybe that was the reason in both cases that there was that light when the wound was healed?

That knife in "Talisman" even left a scar on Clark's skin after it was healed so maybe we'll see next week that the symbol is still on his chest in form of a huge scar??

Teague didn't need kryptonian metal, he had kryptonite, so any blade would do.

It's representing that the sun is charging Clark and healing the wound.

i think it was because it was a kryptonian symbol. randomly i think if lex ever takes his shirt off he should have a scar. that was a pretty deep cut.

When Chloe saw Clark on the sacrifice thing, I actually taught she would remove all the Kryptonite and also break the window to reveal the sun. But only the first thing was done. I taught he needed the sun to heal from kryptonite, just like it happened on Nemesis.

He doesn't need the sun, but it's helpful. There is solar energy built up in the atmosphere and in Clark's cells. Clark spent several hours down in the tunnels surrounded by Kryptonite. Plus it looked like there was still a scar after he healed. I'm sure he's fine by now though.

I think it'd be really cool if he was left with a permanent scar, but not a really deep one, just one that looked faded, to remind clark what aa BDA he is :D
but yes, among all of his powers that he so uselessly uses, healing is one of them

it was incredibly sudden, and the glow thing was weird... i mean jor-el's burned in symbol glowing made sense cause it was supernatural, but ed t just cut it in, so it should just heal like any other wound Clark has had

I wondered about that too....and since when does he emitt light when he heals? It reminded me of the light chloe gives off....it was weird.

I thought it was weird....because thats what happens when chloe heals people. It was strange.

The light was sorta waste of effects. Why don't they just make it like wolverine in the X-men movies. It would have been better that way since Clark is Superhuman and not really a god.

yeah, I thought it was CHloe's healing powers, but she didn't touch him. Maybe she doesn't need to?

But with that type of injury Clark wouldn't need healing from an outside source. I think it was just telling the audience Clark was being healed. And who knows maybe the light is actually cheaper than what they show with Wolverine. But i did find it funky

Clark wasn't hurt by something kryptonian or alien so I does make sense that after the Kryptonite liquid was removed, he would heal really fast . The same happened when he was shot in season 3 in "extinction" (even though no light was used).

It reminded me of the light chloe gives off....it was weird. He emitted light from his facial wounds as they healed after Bizarro bashed him at Reeves Dam in Bizarro, just before Clark smashed the crystalline one into the atmosphere.

It was probably a throw away special effect.

i'm not 100% sure, but i dont think the knife the mr teague used was kryptonian metal. He dipped into kryptonite 'holy' water, so that basically allowed it to penetrate clarks skin

That's how I saw it as well.
