Lex can figure out all these little puzzles, but the largest one, why hasn't he figured it out by now? I know they are drawing it out, but Lex, who brilliantly figures out all this other crap should have figured out who Clark is. He had the mystery of how Clark saved him when his car went over the bridge, if he could remember that far back, Clark was naked in the truck with the Kents when they drove L & L to the hospital. Almost everything he does, Clark is somewhere in the background. And there is always a mystery surrounding Clark. Shouldn't the lightbulb have turned on by now? Or is Lex expecting someone grander, larger, not the farmboy who barely got out of high school-which is a whole other story to contemplate.:confused::confused:

The way I picture it in my imagination is that Lex has been convinced for a while that Clark is the traveler but isn't letting on to anyone that he believes it. He is going to any lengths necessary to find the proof that connects all the dots together about Clark. For Lex, the thrill of the chase is just as important as the power and spoils that come from actually getting what he wants.

Deep down I think he still wants a friendship with Clark and knows if he investigates him, that will stop it happening all together.

And he has also seen him bleed multiple times and seen his medical records which came back normal.

Because that kind of thing has to be left for the last epsisode.

Every time Lex came close to pin pointing Clark to be super human, something happens and he sees Clark to be just human. There are countless examples of that in the past episodes. So even though Lex wonders about Clark's secret, he can't really negate what he saw with his own eyes.

I agree to an extent it's all about the thrill, Lex has his doubts and his theories but it seems he consciously doesn't want to admit to himself that this middle class farm boy, his former friend can actually be the Traveler. Maybe his subconscious knows, but his heart is not set on considering it a reality. Yeah it took seven years for Lex to find out...wow!

Cuz he's an idiot... no really tho i think he really does know that its clark.. he's just searching for verification that he is not crazy and these things really are happening.. he's always suspicious of clark and everyone always denies it.. he just wants the truth.. if he found out the travelor was some random guy all these "questions" he's been talking about would not be answered at all.
