Naturally, being on a computer, Chloe could not have googled or mapquested the way to the church. She needed Clark's phone for the Sprint GPS Technology.
Everyone who is not working on this show sure seems to have a bunch of shiny new stuff.

She was giving him the gps location for the church so they didnt need to take alot of time locating it.

the product placement in the show is ridiculous. but if it makes the show better by providing funds for awesome fx, im fine!

If the church is in Montreal, why did the graphic of Chloe loading Clark’s cell phone show directions to a street in Metropolis?

Maybe it's like a GPS Satnav and they where the first directions?

I laughed out loud during that scene. My dad looked at me weird.

I can't understand for the life of me why ppl since day friggin 1 have had to pick apart & put down the product placement on the show. When I watch smallville I don't even notice the product placement untill I hear about it on messageboards. I'm to busy enjoying the episode & the storyline to notice or care. Some ppl are so shallow that they'd rather talk about how annoying a 2 second shot of a sprint phone is rather than the episode at hand.
Haha, no...she was doing it because Sprint paid for it. Gee really? Ya think so??. here's your reward, go tell ppl about how smart you are. ;). *sighs*.
PATHETIC!!,
The Sprint phone was really not different than Chloe sitting in the Isis foundation with all of it's "massive computers" and Chloe sitting there with her little Dell laptop.

Well in fairness some of SV's product placement is more like a 40 minute commercial, and the rest of the time just seems pretty forced, i.e. Stride gum, Old Spice, Acuvue, etc. Most of us just find it funny, no reason to get worked up about it though.

It so funny that they have product placement in a lot, of shows. But we all should be use it by know, especially when it comes to SV.
True, but the only product placement I've seen that's been as forced as the stuff on SV is the Nissan Versa and Rogue in Heroes, although at least the Versa provided some good material for Hiro.

Yeah, if Sprint is willing to pay the CW to have their products promoted, what is the big deal? Sounds like people, are just looking for things to complain about. Someone has to pay the production of the program, and advertisers, it seems, are the most likely candidates. So instead of bashing Sprint and the placements, I am grateful for the financial support.

It's another product placement, so what. At least she didn't ask him for a piece of Stride!

Product placement aside, what I thought was really funny was how Clark was double checking the GPS while he was standing RIGHT OUTSIDE THE CHURCH. Hmmm, could this massive gothic cathedral be place?? Better check the GPS!

My favourite placements are Chloe and her Toyota cars :)
