Well I think that MR plays Lex great and he also did great in Apocalypse (Look at me! etc.) but, yes BUT :) I didn't like him during that TV speach "My fellow Americans...", he wasn't convincing IMO, I didn't like the way he spoke then. It was somehow artificial, when he lied before he was always convincing and here, it's like he didn't put too much heart to that particular scene, I don't know honestly! :) am I alone with that feeling?

Well, he was speaking as a politician then, so a commonplace phrase like that would come off as stiff. Maybe he should have said something about the Smallville people clinging to their guns and meteor rocks...
