Would Lana have been alive?

With all the times that Lana is saved by Clark, would she still be alive today without him? I know alot of the dangerous situations had to do with Clark's being there, but other times, she was in trouble all by herself.

I would think she'd be dead along with all of Smallville High that attended the dance because that meteor freak from the Pilot would have killed them all as he originally planned to do before Clark stopped him.

Well,I'm glad she was still alive because if she was dead,it would prouved that he is responsable for her

I just remembered the episode where Chloe's stalker type person locked himself into a missile bunker, broke into the government launching codes and sent a nuke up that was going to come back down on Smallville. so in the world without Clark, this nut never becomes obsessed with chloe. don't believe it and in that case, everyone, EVERYONE in smallville would be toasted.

Agreed, both Lana and Chloe should have died while in high school. But this is an AU created by Jor-el and I've got to believe that he showed Clark them happy because he wanted to show Clark that he hurts the ones he loves. Jor-el wants Clark to move on from his high school friends and to be interacting with Jor-el instead. But even so, I don't think Clark will ever competely give up on friends and family.

hell no but then yeah casue the writers would want to keep her on the show for CLANA! EW! It's like Lana doesn't even have a purpose on the show anymore besides to be with Clark. It makes me sick gag!

Maybe with Lana not giving up on cheer leading all the meteor freaks got enough of a Lana Lang fix at sporting events and pep rallies. There was no need to stalk/maim/kill her. LOL!

We don't know when they found Kara. She might have been the one surreptitiously flying around saving people (or rounding up meteor freaks).
