I just want to address the fact that this episode was complete crap....it lacked continuity Clark was submissive to Lex again when he came to the barn..this maybe friends maybe not stuff should be waaaay over....the alternate reality was complete crap...they could have at least made them look older...lex is too young to be the president....the country would not allowe him to appoint hot teenagers on the cabinet...and lois would never be the editor of the planet with a pulitzer at 22..it is complete and utter crap if they expect us to appreciate this episode...and once again clark's only goal was to save lana not the world...he needs to grow up....
even worse the spoilers revealing that..... [Mod Edit:] doomsday will be a part of next season
i hope they don't screw this up...they will probably make him a human predecessor to the monster himself based on the cmoic plot that he is ever adapting...but really doomsday? its cheap and unimpressive..... i am bitterly disappointed... i would write ten pages of complaints but i am studying for my finals right now!
thanks guys

oh and this also negates the whole continuity of Jor-El sending his son off to earth in that touching scene....now its like Clark saves himself it major screws with continuity and i wish they would just make Patrick Duffy come out of the shower and be like Hi Clark what are we having for lunch....

Okay, so I'm confused. If a spolier is posted in this site it's a no-no and must have a spoiler tag. Yet who cares if the info is posted on this very same site under the rumor section? Either way, whoever reads the forum opposed to the rumor section, or vice versa, will find out what is to come. A spoiler would be if I saw the episode earlier than others, like the Canadians get to, and decided to come on here and post it thus "spoiling" it for everyone. Maybe I'm just confused here and I am not trying to tell the Mods how to do their job. Just need some clarification.
About this thread though... It was not utter crap in my opinion. There was some time paradox issues but not as bad as other TV shows I've seen.

I never saw Clark as submissive to Lex in the barn? I thought he was a bit rude at the beginning, how was he acting kindly toward him? I wasn't crazy about the episode either, though. I think it's mainly because I never end up liking AU eps in shows. I also though the Lex president thing was a bit too cheesy and unrealistic.

The episode wasn't that bad. There were some continuity errors but I didn't notice them until I went here lol

yeah and then they tease us with the fact Johnathan Kent is alive and he's on a cruise...very lame..... and it is a show about an alien so you can bend rules..but hi is inconspicuous and that is what the allure of the show is for me anyway him saving the world and it being something as close to reality as possible..this episode was just so horrible..especially the part where he saved the baby and didnt go back and save the wholeplanet its just not conceptually believable

I disagree that this epi was horrible.
I don't understand your concern with this Alternate Time vs Real Time. In the AT, Jonathan was alive. It shouldn't be unexpected for the events in the AT to be different from those in RT. Jor el had warned Clark not to mess with history. Killing baby Kal el would have messed with historical events and that is why, I think, that Clark had to go back and prevent Brainiac from killing baby Kal el; to keep history on tract. To have gone back and changed the entire outcome of Krypton would have drastically changed the historical time line.

Neither did I see Clark submit to Lex. As far as Clark being rude to Lex, first I didn't see it and second even if he was, don't you think Clark has a right to be highly suspicious of finding Lex in the loft? After all, Clark and Lex have been at odds for sometime now: over Lana, over Lex killing Lionel, over the fear that Lex now has both keys which can enable Lex to exert control over Clark, and there is more to give Clark reason to not welcome Lex with open arms.
I agree that Lex should have been an older man when he was president. Would have been more believable.
