That was pretty cool how without Clark around, Kara became The Traveler... and it was Kara that Lionel protected all those years and sacrificed himself for. Maybe Lionel stuck her in a kryptonite cage instead.
I guess Lionel was truly fated to die, Lex was fated to become evil, and Kara was fated to not use her superspeed even when it really, really made sense.
