AU Clark (Chris) - The Kent's human son

That was a cool surprise that he was Jonathan & Martha's biological son (or so we could assume). Either that, or they eventually had sucess trying for a child, or maybe they adopted one. I noticed he was considerably younger than the Clark we know.

I think he was adopted. Remember, in this AU the spaceship wasn't there to heal Martha's reproductive abilities in Season 1.

And I do like the fact that even in this AU, Martha and Jonathan still liked the idea of Martha's maiden name Clark making a good first name lol.

that the kid in the barn at the beginning of the episode said his name is Clark Kent. I listened to it a few times, and he did say Clark, not Chris. I thought it was suppose to be Chris. Can anyone explain?

I just assumed they refered to him as "Chris" before the show not to cause confusion. Makes perfect sense he would be named Clark as well

Either way would have worked. I remember in the pilot Martha saying apologetically to Jonathan that it was the only thing she could think of at the last minute when Ethan showed up and they didn't have a name picked out. She said it was the first thing she could think of because it was her maiden name. I don't know if they would have given Clark a different name if they had had more time to think it through or not.

didnt the spoilers mention a chris kent? he said his name was clark.

Just a guess but they probably wanted to avoid any pre show confusion with the spoilers so they just gave him a similar type name "Chris" and "Clark"

Something tells me human AU!Clark Kent won't be marrying AU!Lois Lane from the same universe anymore than RW!Lois Lane will be marrying RW!Clark Kent from the same universe on Smallville. A direct parallel. Maybe that was the real point of renaming "Chris" to "Clark."

Just because the guy's name is "Clark Kent" doesn't mean he marries the one named "Lois Lane!"

i think they realised that chris kent is the name of zods son in the comics and they didnt want to cause confusion with comic reading viewers. maybe they have plans for a son of zod in the future

i think it was supposed to be as george was an homage to george reeves. but i think they changed it last minute cos sumone pointed out chris kent being in the comics. its only a thot and i only came up with it cos i was confused about chris kent appearing in smallville.
