Chloe and Clark...

I know, they didnt have a lot of interaction this episode. But we can discuss what did happen.

I loved Chloe shoving the thing in his hand...tears in her eyes, telling him she wasnt going to let him do this...and he better go back to krypton now.

When she screamed "We need you...I need you." The look on Clarks face when he said she would be fine. It was heart breaking.

But, without a doubt...my favorite chlark moment in this episode...or possibly ever was Clark watching Chloe in the AU. It was such a simple thing to do....but one of love. Whether thats platonic or romantic I'm not sure. When Clark first see's Chloe in the AU he hangs back and just watches her looking at the flowers with a big goofy smile on his face. My heart just melted. :o

Then of course....Clark discovering Chloe doesnt just have a boyfriend...but a fiance. That scene was touching as well. When he asks "with your boyfriend" you can tell he's a little bit defeated...then when George walks up and says "her fiance actually." You can tell the wind is knocked out of him for a minute...and all he can do is stair. It was very much reminisiant of the first time Clark and Jimmy met.

So whether all of this was friendship or something more (I dont want to start fights on the threads yet again) it was just touching and melted my chlarkie heart. Even with few scenes...they manage to stay burned into my memory. :o:p

Yes...and in a sense Chloe saved Clarks life yet again. I mean, she obviously didnt have any idea that touching the key would allow Jor-el to send him to the AU. But if she had waited even 2 seconds....Clark would have been dead. Remember...she said he was gone for only a millisecond.

So yay for Chloe! :lol:

Yep, he sought out Chloe and truly cares about her. He sought out Lana to find out what happened to her. He did not seek out lois and she was ready and willing to be his next sex object, should he have so cared to go that route.

Clark and Chloe's relationship is so beyond description. It's a little bit of a married coupling...a little bit sibling...a whole lot of friendship. It's just a joy to watch. It really warms my heart to watch them interact with one another. I don't know how else to say it. Their chemistry is awesome...both on and off screen.

He is just getting older...and learning. When Chloe and Jimmy first got together he made his feelings known. Constantly rolling his eyes and making underhanded comments to Chloe. But after Chloe and jimmy's first break up...did anyone notice he started backing off? Remember the talk she and clark had in the barn. He found out they broke up because of him and he said something along the lines of "I cant let this happen Chloe....first Lana, now you.." Then Chloe cuts him off. I'm sure what he would have said would have been very revealing. But there goes Chloe....running her mouth again. :rolleyes::lol:

But it is obvious from that moment on, Clark makes an effort to like whoever Chloe is with, because he loves Chloe and wants her to be happy. He tries to be selfless...and put aside what he wants. Not to mention, he probably thinks chloe doesnt want him like that....after their last encounter at the torch.

So he smiles....because he does want chloe happy...but I also think he's gotten good at playing the part of supportive best friend and only supportive best friend.

Basically....he does it for her sake...then moments when she turns away, for a brief second...we get to see how he really feels. I saw a frown...what about the rest of you? :eek::)

I think Clark seemed genuinely happy for Chloe in the AU, that she was living a good life and very content with her fiance.

My Chlark heart jumped for joy when Chloe said: "We need you! I need you!" But I think what really made me realize that Clark will ALWAYS have some feelings for Chloe was when he discovered that she didn't have a boyfriend, but a fiancee'. The look on his face was totally priceless, especially when the camera zoomed into his face when he looked at the sparkling diamond ring;) I could tell that he was happy for her, but part of him seemed crushed like he wanted to hang onto her. IMO, his reaction gave off more of a romantic vibe rather than a platonic one:) Anyways, it was one of the BEST Chlark scenes ever...Maybe even better than Vessel, because we actually get to see more of Clark's true feelings in the AU than Chloe's.

It's when he first see's chloe in the AU. He just stands back and watches her with a big grin on his face. It was such a moment of love....made me smile like an idiot too! :o

It took every bit of energy for me not to scream at my Tv....but my boyfriend was watching with me (I think I'm making him a smallville fan finally!) and after the "Chloe...stuff the key down your shirt!!!!" scenario...I try to hold back. He may start to think I'm crazy! :rotfl:

I was a bit disappointed with the end, I would have liked to see a chlark talk at the end, but I thought it was fair to give cloisers their moment.

However, I'm truly torn over it. I loved seeing Chloe smiling and having a good-looking guy beaming over her. I also liked Clark's questionable expressions. BUT (here's where I'm torn), why can't that do that in the RW? Why can't Chloe get the hot, heroic guy? Also, why can't Clark see past his Lana obsession and see that the true girl of his dreams is standing right there in front of him?

IF we're not going to get romantic Chlark, then bring on Chlorge! At least that way I, as a Chloe/Chlark fan, can have something to cheer for, as well as look forward to.

Thanks! That was a very moving scene; especially Chloe. I could literally feel her pain and desperation. I loved how she moved from non-inclusive/non-personal (we need you) to inclusive/personal (I need you). It kind of reminded me of her plea to Jor-el when she said, "We need you help (non-inclusive/non-personal). You have got to trust me. I love your son."

I feel like SDK on his Splinter commentary, "That scene makes me wonder why? Why aren't those two together? . . .Chloe's great! . . . Why can't Clark see what we all can see?"

Agreed, except for loving Jimmy. I do think she has feelings for him and I do think she enjoys most of her time with him. However, I do not think she's ever loved him in the way of being in-love.

And the AU did have a small hint that Chloe and Jimmy dated before but she broke his heart. She still gave him that bowtie in this AU. So that's intersting. So maybe she dated Jimmy for a while but realized he wasn't the real thing.

It shows that Clark isnt in love with Lana...he truly only cares about her happiness. So in the RW, Chloe thinks clark is obviously in love with lana...since he spends all his time trying to help her. When in reality he just wants her to be ok, then he'll move on.

I am a huge Chlark fan and hope it happens, but if not then why can't Chloe get the good looking heroic guy? I would have been good with her with Oliver even.

I havent been a huge Chlark shipper since the first few seasons (although I'm not against the ship) With Lana leaving, though, and them not allowed to make Clois romantic yet because of DC restrictions, it would only seem fair to finally have the couple have a go in the last season.

^^^ It would be plenty fair from my perspective. However, we're dealing with SV: The show that seems to mostly crap on Chloe (she and Clark) and make her 'the second best', even when it comes to Jimmy Freaking Olsen.

As for Chollie, if they had gone with that ship for Chloe instead of Jimmy, I would have shipped it in a heartbeat (although I'd STILL want Chlark).

Do I want Chloe happy? Yes, but I want her with the right guy. Not some whiney, selfish, suffocating, jealous, insecure guy who obviously checks out other girls in front of his girlfriend.

I also want her to have her hero (her Clark if you will). That's why I can get behind someone like George (that is IF they write it without all of the angst). He has a hero type role and he was more than thrilled to be getting married to Chloe.

You put into words what I've always thought of Chloe and Clark
