Hey anyone notice, the opening shot at the DP, is alot like in STM. Shot through the lens of Jimmy's camera. Both scenes, start off on the DP logo, then go to Lois. And in Apocalypse, we have Clark stepping into frame. Pretty cool! :D
Also Krypton exploding looked like it did in STM. :D
Plus Clark holding baby Clark, and Lois putting together Clark's outfit in the AU just like in LnC's Tempus episodes. :D

I thought the explosion of Krypton was awesome, whoever thought of that deserves a bonus.

Loved that, too! An ep bonus I wasn't expecting.

Also, most Superman geeks tend to forget the 4th Superman movie so perhaps I'm the only one who caught it but what about Lex's televised presidential speech? To quote "and so we are forced to use force". That was SO Superman IV, which is all about the threat of nuclear warfare and has that style of speech repeated twice (once from US president and once from Soviet president). I thought it was great! Someone working on SV is also a SIV anamoly!!

Not a throwback to pre-SV, but Lex's gun seemed strikingly similar to Devilicus's gun, like a semi-auto version of Devilcus's revolver.

I loved the gun and how Welling set up the shots in this scene. First with the shot to the chest and then we stare down the barrel at the second shot to reveal kryptonite bullets. :D Cool!

VERY cool! Much kudos to Tom in this whole episode..he is going to make a great director one day..if he so chooses to go into the field.

IA, he would make a great director. He just made some really cool choices throughout, like during the Clark rescue Lois scene, he pans to the puddle with their reflection first and then pans the camera up, revealing this great Superman save. And then there's the DP scene after Lois gets arrested. The momentum shifts and there's this back in forth banter between Clark and Jimmy, and the camera shifts and turns between the two, really reflecting the urgency. I loved it!

Though the way Krypton exploded was very S:TM-esque, I thought the way Clark's ship looked as it escaped seemed very L&C-ish.

As stupid as the time travel thing was and Chloe telling Clark to hurry into the past because he could disappear at any moment I really liked this episode. I was particularly amused by the quick change bit in Jimmy's apartment. Nice little homage to the phonebooth there.

seems i'm the only one here who thinks the homages were the worst part of the episode. I didn't mind the STM homage of revealing Krypton like they did. That looked ok but the explosion was the most pathetic thing I have ever seen. Do you know why it looked like that in STM? because that's as good as they could do with thier technology back then so why 30 years later must we blaitantly copy & past 30 yr old effects into a show that shows it's effects are far better?. It was so cheesy & looked horrible. This epi as a whole was a real let down for me. I felt I had seen everything before the epi began just by the one trailer they released alone. Considering the hype & considering this was the 150th episode I expected more. *sighs* oh well seems next weeks won't be much better from the trailer they threw at us. Seems I'll just have to wait till arctic for a good episode full of myth & epic storytelling. :(

*sigh* And we are fed up with you canon character haters! Like it or not Lois, Lana, Jimmy Olsen are canon characters and are here to stay Chloe is a non character no future whatsoever hack job character just like Lionel was, she will never, ever be Superman's love period!
The truth hurts but is the truth none the less...:D

awwww, I forgot that one. You're right, Clark did do one of his superspeed changes. That one was fun! haha and Lois wanted a peek. :rotfl:
