"go back in time and kill Kal-El" plot from Lois & Clark

anyone remember Tempus trying to do the same thing in The New Adventures of Superman? he goes back in time and tries to kill Kal-El when his ship lands in Smallville.

although i dont understand why Kal-El was only a baby in that episode? he should be a small boy when he lands on Earth.

just a slightly different thing they did in LnC, that he was on earth since he was a baby. i think it's better that way because they never had an FOS either... and i never liked the idea that Superman had spent his earliest days without love or experiance of anything... at the time when the brain is just developing and all your emotinal skills are learned? just seemed implausible to me

I forgot about that! The Tempus episodes are awesome! I hated how Martha and Jonathon tried to look younger in that episode, it didnt work!


Did Lois ended up losing her memory after that or am I thinking of another episode? She found out Clark and Superman were the same person- its possible that Im gettting my episodes mixed up.

Yes she did. She tried to write herself a note letting her remember that Clark is Superman, but Clark intercepted it before she could read it back in real time. The trip back in the time machine somehow erased the memory according to HG Wells, I think this is how it occurred.

They also did it on the 90s cartoon, Brainiac came to Smallville to kill the teen Clark Kent, the Legion of Super Heroes showed up to help and gave him his glasses before wiping his memory.

LnC also had an alternate reality one with Tempus that I think they are taking Apocalypse from.

The cartoon also had an AU where Lois Lane died and Superman joined forces with Lex and dawned a black suit, Jimmy was a major player in the resistance against Superman, I think he was even ready to kill him with Kryptonite before normal dimension Lois fixed things. I think hints of that version sound to be in Apocalypse too. Mainly replace black clad Superman with Black clad Kara.
