Speaking of portals in the space-time *********, has anyone considered the (il)logic of Chloe's daily commute? I know this is nothing new, and that the distance between Smallville and Metropolis seems to be flexible, but isn't it a 3 hour drive?

So doesn't that mean for Chloe (and Jimmy) to work in Metropolis, she is spending 6 hours a day commuting? I guess it just bothered me when she said she couldn't stay for breakfast because she had a meeting - in 3 hours, I guess. So she would arrive there and it would be time to take off and have lunch with Jimmy.

And then Clark texts her and instead of superspeeding to her (which would take minutes, or less), he waits for her to drive to Smallville (3 hours later)? Huh?

Can't tell you why it bothered me today when it has been a huge impracticality for so long - but does this bother you? Or am I just crazy?

She drives a sporty economical Toyota Yaris, so the commute is a breeze with her 1.5 liter 105 horsepower inline four cylinder that gets a miserly 29 mpg city, 35 mpg highway. Listening to the MP3 capable AM/FM radio make the time breeze by, and the sleek exterior makes the commute all the more enjoyable for her fellow commuters.

A 3 hour drive is a long drive, I can tell you from experience. I just can't see driving a total of 6 hours just to go to work and sometimes people on smallville have gotten back and forth from smallville to metropolis and back to smallville pretty fast

I understand your logic Karafan1 but I actually do that. I probably earn more than Chloe but my car is a 1986 Holden Camira (it's served me faithfully and I refuse to upgrade until fixing it costs more than buying a new car) and petrol prices are a ***** - but coming home to a beautiful country home at the end of a hard slog in the city outweighs the travel time.

As far as I'm concerned anyway. :->
