This episode had one giant plothole that was completely ridiculous. Neither Kara nor Clark could fly to Krypton. They would be dead if they tried. Once they'd leave the influence of the yellow sun, their powers would no longer be recharged. But that's not the problem. The red Kryptonian sun is deadly to Kryptonians especially if exposed directly in the midst of space. Kryptonians used special ships to fly outside their planet. The red sun would quickly zap away all of Kara's stored energy and she would then explode in space like a human would. As much as I didn't like Superman Returns for various reasons, one thing they did do right was have Superman/Clark use a ship to go find Krypton at the very beginning as seen when he returned to Earth.
Another plothole was how the Veritas compass can lead Lex to something that did not exist when the Veritas members decided to hide the secret. The only way this would make sense is if they explain it in a way that I did in my fanfic episode Krypton where I wrote it that as Clark's ship exploded in Exodus, it reintegrated under the ice in the Arctic. I explained that Clark's ship had 1 out of 3 pieces of the Eradicator built into it and that the piece of the Eradicator in Clark's ship is what guided the crystal that Clark threw in Commencement to land where it did so it could form the FOS.
Since Clark's ship was not on Earth when Veritas discovered/created the compass, I would think they would reveal that it was not built into Clark's ship, but that the Eradicator was buried under the ice in the Arctic for several years and as in my episode Krypton was the guiding force that directed the crystal that Clark threw to land where it did. And this would mean that the compass is built to point to the source of the Eradicator's energy which is radiating from underneath the FOS. This would be the only thing that would make sense to me.
So as of now, I won't consider that part a plothole until we get the details.
