Why was this episode called sleeper?! I can't figure out any connection between the name and the episode.

all I can come up with is that it was so boring, people want to sleep through it...

This is the best explanation I think:

The title was referring to a "Sleeper Cell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clandestine_cell_system)". A sleeper cell refers to a cell, or isolated grouping of sleeper agents that belong to an intelligence network or organization.

At least that is what I believe.

this was misnamed for sure, should have been called 007.

In the episode, Vanessa said that the Feds believed Chloe was part of a terrorist sleeper cell here in the U.S.

Although it was sorta cute seeing James Olsen trying to be James Bond, the ep was a total bore until the last 5 minutes. When Lex offered his "help" to Jimmy as his "family" and when he got the Veritas map from the Zurich box, then we got somewhere, but suddenly the ep is over and I'm still hungry!

Of course, I will give it a 10 for so many lovely scenes of the gorgeous AM...you shine!!! When that b!t(H belted her I wanted to be the one to deck (and kill) her, not Jimmy knocking her out (kind of unbelievable, too if she's so good at martial arts, one well planted jaw strike flattened her...oh well).

I wonder if they actually called this episode "Sleeper" for both reasons...
Could be :)

I think it was in reference to 1) sleeper cell 2) what Lex uncovered in the box had been dormant/sleeping/undisturbed for a number of years 3) Lana 4)Chloe/Jimmy.... it could have meant a lot of things - although it would not have been the title I would have picked for the show.

But SPN made up for anything that SV disappointed in.....

Because, when it ended, I thought I had just had a really absurdly bad dream about Smallville characters.

lol the episode was a snooze :P
Nah, I dunno really, there didn't appear to be much related to the title really.
lol I doubt it but 'sleeper' partly could be related to the fact that Clark was more focused on getting Lana back, rather than getting the keys from Lex lol like he was a 'sleeper' from the real problem. It doesn't make sense, Chloe stepping it up with hacking the computers for the episode to be called 'sleeper'. I'm pulling at strings here

:lol:LOL:lol: Well speak for yoursel because it wasn't all that bad in my opinion, However it did have horrendous plotholes the size of the crater at Arizona! And the name if anything it seems to be a refference to the government's suspicion or rather that crazed government agent's suspicions that Chloe was part of some sleeper terrorist cell. Off course that falls appart when you see her profile does not match that of a freaking religious zaelot but this is Smallville so there...

In my opinion it should have been called Jimmy007 or something like that as it was nothing more than a low budget ripoff James Bond films...
