Something I didn't understand?

When Jimmy knocks out that man with the briefcase and does that whole eyescan to open up the briefcase and then he copies whatever is on that blackberry or whatever it was.

What I didn't understand is how did Jimmy know to attack that man? and how did Chloe throw them off by having Jimmy go after that man?

We were supposed to believe that Chloe came up with the plan knowing Jimmy would use his super secret spy kit to hack her sidekick and try to secure the info before she had a chance to do anything illegal. It still made no sense though, why even invite Jimmy? How did the fed know that she would invite Jimmy? I can't even put into words how absurd the storyline was between the sidekick hack and the fed meeting.

Agreed. Almost everything in this episode with the government agents, the weird spy setups, the James Bond moves, the waltz dancing, etc., were so ridiculous it's not even worth trying to figure out.

I don't think it was that ridiculous. I actually rather enjoyed the episode . I know some of the episode had plot holes but I ran with it and enjoyed it! I'm still trying to figure them out though.

Chloe knew he was spying because he seemed to have labeled the spyware he uploaded to the Isis computer with his name and address, all spies do that, it makes things more exciting. Jimmy knew about the guy with the briefcase because Chloe baited him into stealing the info from her sidekick/blackberry/palm pilot. Everything else was left field.
