No, because flying wouldn't really take him anywhere. He'd just be floating around in outer space unless another black hole opens up that takes him back in time.

If the octagonal key can open a wormhole from the caves to the Fortress, I bet that is the route they will take to go to Krypton.

Remember Kryptonians used to come to Earth (Remember Joe/Jor-el), the Fortress Jor-el will send Clark via that way.

Yeah but that was present time when krypton still existed in the present. If Brainiac knows how to open a wormhole in space then I'm sure Jor-el knows how and the only way he can get there is by flying.

So if i were a betting man, I'd bet my money on Clark flying there.

I think this will indeed be the most likely scenario. Even if Clark could fly by himself he wouldn't know the way to Krypton. Martian Manhunter will know the way and I think Clark will hitch a ride with him. Clark stumbling upon a magic portal here on earth that can transport him through time and space to the exact date that Kara and Brainiac arrive at Krypton would seem like a major lame plot device and would be very dissapointing for a storyline that holds much promise otherwise.

i think he may have to fly through the "boom tube" or the same way Kara and braniac went. Flying to whatever braniac had set up to transport them back wherever it was.

Smallville pretty much follows the Christopher Reeve Superman movies, at least the first two. The first time Clark flies he is flying in the fortress with his Superman costume on. Not before. And this is how the series must end, whatever season is the last.

Clark isn't going to fly there. The moment he comes under the influence of Krypton's red sun the story will be over. I'm not sure what the writers were thinking having Brainiac and Kara fly there.

it's just another plan by the writers to get y'all excited about Clark flying or Clark going to Krypton - in reality he will do neither then we'll have threads of how Clark sucks monkey balls for not flying to Krypton bla bla bla, wah wah wah!
