Right out of Jimmy's mouth...and it pretty much sums up the chimmy relationship. I know...he was talking about the "food" but I think it goes nicely here.

On some level...I really wanted the Chimmy relationship to work. They've always had a little spark between them...and the adorable aspect always worked for them. But tonight, there was no doubt in my mind that they just dont have it anymore. I'm not trying to be negative...just telling you all what i saw.

Well, first off....they dont trust eachother at all. The fact that neither of them said "hey...I know what you're doing...whats going on?" But they proceeded to grind on each other on the dance floor....and shoot eachother looks all night.

Second....they want the "heat" back. But if the only way you can make your relationship hot is by breaking into classified files...and lying to eachother, you have a problem folks.

And finally....the big kicker. Right before they have sex (or what we assume they are about to do on the bed) Jimmy says something along the lines of "Tell me you want this more then you want Clark." And to answer Jimmy's question Chloe kisses him. Once again...Jimmy brings up Clark, and right at a very cruticial moment. If I was Chloe I would have pulled away and said "are you freaking kidding me?" Once again proving that Jimmy will never feel secure in a relationship with Chloe as long as Clark is around.

I did love how assertive Jimmy was....and I think Allison and Aaron have amazing chemistry. But if this episode was supposed to secure in our minds that Chimmy is back to stay....it had the complete opposite effect on me. I'm just waiting for that mess to come crashing down.

chloe is totally "settling" for jimmy and jimmy knows it, he kisses her and still says, do you prefer to chase clark or kiss me, and still I see hesitation in chloe's eyes.

Look chloe loves clark more than jimmy its a recipe for disaster for chlimmy. and I feel bad for jimmy , chloe can chase clark till the cows come home but jimmy is really trying.

Yep....and unless Chloe gets mind swiped...and has no idea Clark exists....nothing is going to change, and poor Jimmy is fighting a losing battle. Not to mention that they just agree to keep their secrets. Well chloe's secret is she's helping her best friend potentially save the world. Jimmy....made a deal with the devil. How do they just let that be? I mean...Chloe was suspected of being a terrorist...and just letting that go so they can have sex. It just made them both look incredibly pathetic. Makes me sad. :(

Yeah I felt for Jimmy this episode. This is what Lana was complaining about this whole time with Clark too

I agree with you 100%, AndiGirl. Especially the last part about them in Chloe's apartment and Jimmy bringing up Clark. If Jimmy honestly felt so insecure about Clark being around, then he shouldn't have made himself seem so desperate when he asked him for advice. :\

Yeah I felt for Jimmy this episode. This is what Lana was complaining about this whole time with Clark too

The thing about Lana's complaints was that she didn't have doubts that Clark didn't love her. She knew that Clark geniunely loved her, but she just didn't want any secrets to get in the way of that. Jimmy doesn't trust Chloe coming from all corners of the board.

Also, Chloe said that Jimmy should have asked her like a regular boyfriend instead of going behind her back. Lana asked Clark numerous times in Season 5 even when it wasn't needed about his secret, but he lied. When Lana went to spy on Clark before her wedding in "Promise", it was basically like what Jimmy did now, but at least Lana dealt with constantly asking Clark before she took any action. Jimmy just went ahead and spied because he got a tip from some government woman.

I totally picked up on the "second time around" thing. I knew they were referencing their relationship. I wanted to tell my friend that but I talk too much during the show as it is :-p

Haha what a coincidence. This episode probably won't be as good the second time around either!

it does sum it up, doesn't it? that's why chloe looked so upset about "missing breakfast".

Chloe & Jimmy's relationship didn't work the first time.

It never worked, & never will. MOVE ON!

Oh yeah you're right, I was off on the comparison. I was just thinking about the whole secrets and lies angle and completely forgot about the doubts when it came to love.

But this is SV. A TV show that is hung up on relationships-that-never-have-and-never- will-work-so-let's-keep-getting-them-back-together-so-they-can-break-up-again is their motto.

Isn't it fun?

I have to agree. I think that they are trying to keep it together but they both know it won't last. Sympathy sex? lol.... I HATE that Jimmy brings up Clark in awkward moments...it shows his insecurity with the relationship and pushes Chloe away. I for one don't appreciate the 'how does this compare to your ex' in any situation. :p

It's Jimmy, you gotta feel for Jimmy Olsen. There's nothing more I can say but it's Jimmy.

All about Clark

I think it is Jimmy's insecurities that ruined it for Chloe. Even when she's into him, he's thinking about Clark, big mistake and proves they will never make it work.

The thing is, that it would take a very confident guy and one who doesn't need her 24/7. It's always going to be difficult for Chloe's relationships as long as Clark is in her life.

Jimmy is to Chloe as Smallville's version of lois is to ClarkMan, a step down, not an upgrade, he just doesn't have the horsepower for Chloe.

Well to be fair, didn't Clark always bring Chloe in while he was with Lana? And this really is the first time Jimmy talked to Clark about Chloe...

<!-- / message -->Chimmy = Clana 2.0.

The original was bad enough after seven years. The new version is even worse.

It's Jimmy, you gotta feel for Jimmy Olsen. There's nothing more I can say but it's Jimmy.
The only thing I want Jimmy to feel is Clark's size twelve when he finally figures out Jimbo is systematically dating or learing at every woman Clark knows. No wonder Martha left town.
