Just out of sheer curiosity... I was reflecting on the episode and I don't recall Clark using his powers even once in this episode, did he? Not even the off screen "Whoosh" sound to imply he was super speeding away.
Has this been done in other episodes too? Episodes where Clark uses no super powers when they are available to him? (Probably helps in terms of budget for SFX) I know he didn't have powers in 'Mortal' in season 5, but other than that nothing comes to mind.

i didnt notice that but you are right. There was barely any clark probably due to tom wellings prep. for directing apocalypse but the only other episode that comes into mind is mortal.

We've been duped. We're Superman/ Clark fan's and we tune in to see superpowered Clark, and how he lives his life and fights crime with his powers, and instead we see Chloe and Jimmy dancing in a James Bond like scene. It's sort of like Bait and Switch. It's supposed to be Smallivlle we're tuning in to watch, but really it isn't, because they've switched to to a cheaper off brand, Smallivlle's really out of stock, or something. lol
