Title: LANA THE TELEPHONE - ONE SHOT

Short summary: Clana drama

Clark sat at the Metropolis infirmary where Lana was still in a catatonic trance due to Brainiac. It hurt him to watch her like this but, he didn’t know what else to do.
After a couple of weeks of having one way conversations with her about Kara flying off with Brainiac, Lionel’s horrific death and Chloe getting fired from the planet Clark received a phone call in a very unexpected way.
Lana began to vibrate and emit a Kryptonian tone. Clark just touched her face to try and quell the vibrations.
“Clark, oh my god,” said Lana as Clark ran his fingers through her hair.
“Lana, it’s you, I miss you so much I am sorry I should have been there to stop Brainiac but, there were so many things going on at once that I didn’t find out what had happened until after the fact,” said Clark.
“Clark please stop Fine. It feels like when I had your powers and got infected by the Kryptonite,” gasped Lana.
“I love you, I always have and I swear I will try and find a way to reverse this. I can’t stand to see you like this.”
A second lower pitch voice then came from Lana, a voice Clark recognised as Milton Fine’s.
“You don’t honestly think that you can find a way to keep that promise. Your time’s up Kal - El,” said Milton Fine closing Lana’s eyes.
With the knowledge of what Lana was going through it made Clark feel even more guilty about getting her in the middle of his Kryptonian battles. The reasons he neglected to tell her for six years was because he feared a situation like this. All he could do was hope that Lana could get through this in one piece.
