She is alive...thats why Clark was panicking in the DP basement...right before Lionel was killed. Trying to find any indication of where Brainiac took Kara, because he cant save Lana without him. So she's still in the hospital suffering.

No problem! :)
Oh...you are right, Lionel was dead by that point....it's when the cops and everyone show up. When Lois tells chloe there's been an accident. Before that they were searching for power surges to try and find brainiac. Clark doesnt even want to leave the DP and see whats happening next store...but Chloe finally talks him into it. He seems very upset about Lana, which is nice to see.

I dont think braniac can cure her either...but Clark still wants to give it a try. Its all he can do at this point.

^^He just wants her to be taken cared off, until he finds Brainiac.

Clark said "I can't let Lana sit in that Asylum in pain. The only way to help her is to find Braniac" Then, he really didn't want to stop looking for Braniac to go check on Lionel, but he did.
I thought the scene was handled very tastefully. Clark was torn, and is trying to save Lana.

As much as I feel for Clark and Lana at this point, it was such a relief to be spared the Clana this entire episode. Their relationship is so painful to watch. They either need to be happy and passionate about each other or just end it. They used to steam up the screen when they made out in high school. Now it's just a peck on the cheek and emotional angst and pain.

I agree.
As soon as Lois said to Chloe and Clark that people were saying Lionel had jumped from the building Chloe got straight up and got her coat, whereas Clark was hesitating. He wanted to know what happened, but he also wanted to know about Lionel too.
