Clark heat vision

That was the first time Clark ever used heat vision like that, bery slowly and carefully. Very Superman. Reminds me of Lois & Clark the TV show. Clark used heat vision carefully to heat Lois up from the cold rain.

It shows me that he is refining his powers, gaining greater control over them. Which is awesome, 'cause he'll need that level of control as Superman. :)

I for one am glad kara hasn't mastered all her powers just because she got and mastered flight way before clark doesn't mean that kara should be better at controlling all of her abilities. I think when clark finally discovers his ice breath he should get it and prefect it at least 5 episodes before kara trys it to justify clark being superman when kara who can fly easily isn't supergirl yet. Kara should have trouble with some of her abilities like clark has trouble excepting he can fly.

back on topic of the thread I think its cool we see clark expanding ueses for his powers just because he cannot fly doesn't mean he should be growing towards his destiny.

I agree. I'm glad that he's finding ways to use the powers that he currently has and developing those instead of having someone (Ms. Zor-El/Kara) to force him to try to fly.

I really liked that scene too! I can't remember the last time I've seen him use that power. It's nice to see him do something other than just super strength and super speed. Plus, the CG/Special Effects were amazing, IMO.

YES! That was a killer scene. Loved it. Loved it. Great how it zoomed out on Clark's body...you could see the red glowing eyes when he was using his heat vision...very much like Jim Lee's drawings of Supes. Awesome.

Don't it seem the TPTB are making a good effort to have those Superman moments in the show?

And it did remind me of one episode of Lois and Clark (I think it was the last one of season 2 when Lois puts 2 and 2 together and realises Clark is Superman and he uses heat vision to wake her up after having frozen her to make her seem dead).

Apparently X-ray vision is very expensive. That's why TPTB don't use it very often. It is mentioned in the season 5 DVDs.

Actually, super breath aside he uses his other powers fairly frequently they've just cut down on the expensive special FX used to show them in action.

In this episode I thought he was very clever in how he used his different powers. Except for at the beginning when he should have X-rayed Lex to see if he had the key!

Are you crazy? :lol: Heat vision in Bizarro was THE BEST! It even got nominated for a Visual Effects Society (VES) Award! Though this heat vision was really good too. :)

Oh yeah I remember that episode. I think it was near the end of the fourth season though. The one about Lex Luthor's unknown son?

That was one of the better episodes from that season. Still not great, but better.

Well canonically speaking he very much can!:D In fact in the comic books and the Animated Justice League/Superman show he was even able to shave himself using his heat vission!
