it was interesting, and at least he didn't do it by accident like in "Promise" or in the heat of the moment. I liked that he did it calmly, and with intent to do so. Premeditated even.

Yea i am so glad they finally had lex do it fans been wondering when it was going to happen and we would have been pissed if he didnt do it by the end of the series. As for the opening teaser scene with them i thought it was well played and it was very good.

Not only for that reason. Because he found out his father premeditated his trip to Smallville and the meteor shower, and how that changed Lex's life forever, and that was the ultimate angry straw that broke the camel's back.

You know... I've gotta say it. Lionel has it coming. I don't think murder is justifiable. But in this case it is perfectly understandable. (I know that sounds bad. I'm not saying Lex did a good thing, but I think it was a long time coming.) Lionel abused, mistreated, love starved and tried to murder lex on sooooooo many occasions that it's hard for me to feel bad for Lionel. It seems like karmic justice that Lex killed him. I just can't belive that Lex actually finally crossed that line... I mean he's had so much opportunity and never did it. Now he's just snapped.
I always want to give Lex a huge motherly bear hug whenever he gets mad about Lionel practically adopting Clark. He totally F***ed up Lex's life, ruined him. Then decides that Lex is garbage and a not worth saving so he abandons him for someone he can truley love. Lex was always innocent his whole childhood, but blamed for everything. Now he's become the lie. My heart goes out to him.
However now that he's destroyed his inner child (if that's even possible) I think the darkness will get stronger in Lex. I wouldn't want to get in his way at this point.
