does anyone here watch heroes?? The "What's In The Box" tagline was used in the series early last year!! kind of like "save the cheerleader, save the world"
I thought it might by kryptonite, but that's way too simple. Probably something related to Jor-El?

Da da da! A mysterious crystal!

Come on, it's always a mysterious crystal isn't it?

I thought that whatever was going to be in Zurich was just something that could keep Clark down, like the kryptonite cell. But going by what Chloe said, it looks like it will actually control him, and make him do its bidding. Hmm... interesting. I don't even know what can do that.

How about a way to hack into the AI?

IMO Whatever is found in the box will allow Lex to control the FOS. And we've seen that the Fortress has the power to freeze Clark in a block of ice or take away his powers.

But how would the Veritas society, namely Dr. Swann, have known about the Fortress of Solitude? After all, they were the creators of said item. But all they knew was that a Traveler from a faraway galaxy was coming. I don't think they knew about any other details having to do with his destiny (like the Fortress).

if you listened to the message from lionel its says keys are to control you

there is one object in the entire universe that control anyone.. the anti life equation'

which means at some point next year there going to introduce darkseid or someone representing darkseid like desad

Okay, so what we know up to this point is that whatever is in the "magical two-key" box has the ability to control Clark. Let's think about how much sense this makes for a second...

What is the logic of sending something like this to Earth, and how in the WORLD did the Queens, Swanns and Luthors get their hands on it? Did Jor-El just decide that maybe he'd better send a Kal-El remote to Earth just incase he went all bad or something? I guess we're at the mercy of TPTB to get our answer next week....

I think we are definately all wondering this. I am hoping what ever it is, it is a big shocker when we find out, not something predictable like some things have been in the past. Looking forward to seeing whats inside!!

I'm guessing the Anti-Life equation. It'd be a nice nod to the comics, even if it is a bit heavy for Smallville.

If it really is Coordinates to the Fortress Of Solitude, then how can THAT control Clark??!
I don't think Jor-El would give Lex some sort of Crystal or weapon to control him that easily. We already saw how he react when Bizarro was in the fortress...

Here's my question. How would what ever is in the box control Clark since at this point, other than Swann, no member in Veritas knew of Krypton or what the Traveler would look like or be constituted of.

It's Clark & Lana's sex vid and it'll control Clark by shame LOL! or it could be a miniature darkseid LOL!!

I think its Mother Box

LastSonKalEl
04-18-2008, 11:48 PM
i think it's the coordinates...and lex can actually learn about clark's secrest by default...it might even be a key to the cave which would explain that clark is the traveler due to his intense love for the cave...and he would know alot about the questions he's had...i wish it iwas a little note from Dr. Swann that said...haha not that easy viva la krypton

its another box and then another box lex will get trapped inside a vast amount of infinite boxes and never find his way out and once one box is ripped apart 500000000000000000000000 more boxes appear .

There are ways to "Control" someone other than to control them like some robot via remote control.

Like using something to blackmail them into doing your bidding.

I am not going to assume it is something to use to physically take over his mind or some such thing.

A Kal-El remote. lol

It's probably just kryptonite or something, but again how would they know that? And if you don't know who the traveler is....it's kind of hard to control him.

Think about it, the item will lead Lex to a crystal that holds the AI for Lara. And when it is activated it will get Clark to listen to her, since he never listens to Jor-El, basically, it will say "Kal-El, listen to your mother!!" And Clark will be powerless!!!

No seriously, I don't know, but it definitely leads him to the Fortress. Maybe it will lead to an item that will allow humans to control Kryptonians through mind control. I mean, as we've seen, only once has anyone been able to manipulate Clark through mind control, and that was in "Hypnotic", which utilized a hypnosis pendant made from Kryptonite. Maybe the item will allow control without Kryptonite, meaning Lex could concievably use Clark to take over the world. I guess we'll see.

Sorry to say it, but Chloe isn't an oracle of knowledge. Chloe heard about what's in the box from Clark, and he heard about it in a recording from Lionel.

Okay so basically it's not something that can literally control Clark..its probably just his name on a piece of paper. By the wrong people knowing who he is they can control him by threatening to hurt the people he loves. That is really the only weakness he has. When we debate what they can hold over him to control him the answer is always the same, his love for humanity is his weakness. Kryptonite may physically harm him, but if people are hurt because of him that can truly affect his mind, and therefore his legacy.

Cool answer

Im thinking its the famous green crystal, its like a master key to the FOS and would give the person who uses it the power to control it. Whomever controls the FOS can control Clark, that has already been proven

LastSonKalEl
04-20-2008, 05:32 PM
yeah....like seeing as how Lex actually gets to the fortress its more logical that its something like that...i just like the simple explanation more....i guess having those coordinates is basically the same as having his name on a piece of paper bc whoever found them would find the legacy of the traveler ....and the intelligence knows alot about clark

----- Added 36 Seconds later -----

its like the ultimate invasion of privacy its the only spot clark has to reflect on his origins

So I guess all the comics I have about Maxwell Lord controlling Superman to almost kill Batman making him think it was Brainiac, Darkseid, Ruin or Doomsday the one who killed his Loved ones (Lois, Jimmy, Perry and Lana) are a total and complete Lie?

Yeah your right, he NEVER is controlled by anyone...

""what's in the box".....best part of the movie seven and best line ever from Brad Pitt."

YEAH! That movie was SO amazing! Such great acting and directing. "What's in the box?" John Doe smiles sadistically. "I just told you....do it, Detective. Become vengeance. Become WRATH." (this movie is THE reason I was so excited when I found out Kevin Spacey was playing Lex Luthor in SR). :)
