No Lana Tonight!

No against you Lana fans but I'm kind of happy she won't be in tonight's episode (unless I've been misinformed and KK makes an appearance, though I don't see the point since Lana can't really talk now and isn't KK in Thailand shooting Street Fighter?).

If memory serves me correctly, the last episode Lana was in was "Justice" and that was an amazing episode! Not that Lana's absence made a difference to that episode (the writing and plot were excellent), it was just a bonus IMO.

Descent already looks awesome from the 11 clips I've seen (Director Cut, 3 CW clips and 7 clips from yesterday that are already posted on youtube), so maybe it's just a trend and Descent will be the same quality as Justice and Bizarro (Lana did appear but didn't talk :D). :lol:

FYI I like KK but hate Lana. I want to make that perfectly clear. :)

In all honesty i would like the Lana thing to be resolved before Artic(ie saving her) that way we don't have to deal with it in season 8.

If you click on the person's name on youtube they actually have 14 clips for descent(if you go to youtube just type "des_cent" and you should find a bunch of them).

Curse this stupid mind issue. Braniac should have done something more mindlessly violent. It's the only way to show pests like Lana what the deal is.

I agree. Even if Lana was in the episode, she would just be taking up space. :\ The only thing that she could truly do to move the plot along is to tell of her experiences with Lionel Luthor (from Season 6). Other than that, she'd just be dead weight. :(

Yes because any time Lana even appears for even a second all viewers run from their TV sets for cover in terror! Plz, plz give it a darn rest! It was a very good episode because the writers didn't have any clana to think up and force into it.:p

I don't hate Lana there's just no place for her in the show anymore and it's dragging the ratings down

Not it wasn't you liar that's just something you haters cook up all the time! The show was doing fine with or without her, becase the episodes this season have been exceedingly well written. So much so that I wonder if they hired some writters from the SG show because the style that I see now reminds a lot of that show as well. This season has been one of the very best with or without her but you haters simply cannot admit to that fact...

My apologies as that may have been uncalled for but still you cannot prove that the character is the sole responsible for the the ratings to drop or rise that is just a crock!

And mind you Lana is a canon character so it does have a present and a future in the show however Chloe like Lionel does not, now how does that feel? The truth hurts doesnt it?

I have along with others enjoyed the character of Chloe very much and so why would it hurt me if you say that she has no future in the show. The show is over next year and if there's a spinoff called the Justice league there just might be a place for Chloe but either way it matters very little since Smallville is coming to an end.

I do not care anymore than you seem to care about canonical characters and it is the honest to God truth Chloe like Lionel are non canon characters and as such they really have no place in the Superman/DC comics universe period...


You convinced me, from now on I'm going to nag about Chloe 'till hell freezes over just as you guys do with Lana, Loois and all canon characters!

Lana might not have been in the episode, but without her and her forming the isis foundation, clark and chloe would never have been able to clean up the picture to view Lex as the actual killer. I enjoy KK's presence on Smallville, and really don't mind lana, I know alot don't like her, but she adds to alot of the story whether people want to admit it or not, she is one of the reasons clark is and will be who he is.
