Hi, I was wondering when was the first time we saw Metropolis in Smallville and the first time the show is in the city setting. I think the 1.15 Nicodemus show a glimpse of Metropolis skyline from the windmill.

I think it was season 1-8 "Jitters"
Earl Jenkins unintentionally busts into the lobby of LuthorCorp in an attempt to see Lionel Luthor. If you don't want to count it since we don't see outside the LuthorCorp lobby then it would be the following episode. Season 1-9 "Rogue" in which bad cop Sam Phelan witnesses Clark using his powers to stop a runaway bus in downtown Metropolis. That episode transpires half the time in Metropolis and half the time in Smallville.

We see Metropolis in "Hug" in the 1st season when Bob Rickman made that guy jump out his office window..I just noticed that was after "Jitters" so I think "Jitters" is the 1st time

Okay, I was just wondering, I know in the real world, Metropolis is in Illinois but in Smallville, what state is it in? They can see the skyline of it from the windmill in Chandler's field so there is no way it can be in Illinois.

It's supposedly 3 hours away from smallville in kansas. It seems like they have forgotten about the 3 hour drive because people go back and forth between the 2 cites alot in the same day. I used to live in a town 3 hours away from where I am now and that 3 hour drive takes a long time..Alot longer than the smallville/metropolis drive seems to take
