He did survive the episode, thanks to someone else.
He intended to cause injury but didn't (part of things not working out the way he intended); he succeeded in damaging something, and property damage also resulted from someone's reaction to something he did; there was an unintended injury as an result of his actions, too.

I wouldn't rule out all of those. It is a pretty common profession, just one that not too many characters on the show were shown to have.

No, the person Lana thought was being betrayed was not a main character. It was another recurring guest.
The recurring guest is the same character in the 3 episodes (but is played by a different actress in one of the 3 episodes). It is not Laura Lang or Tess's assistant.

Not the mugger in Identity.
There was one other person present in the scene I'm after and it was aperson similar to the person I'm looking for, and was not a main character.
So clarifying, this person is seen in a scene featuring 3 people, Lois and two similar people. One of them spoke to Lois. I am after that person.

If the person was speaking, it wouldn't be so we could hear what the words were. More likely, we would know there was general noise coming from the TV as the characters in the foreground would be drowning him out. I would say middle season by your definition.

It's about the only uniformed unnamed person I can find in S 6, 7 or 8 that was killed by a powered non-meteor freak and shared a scene with a current main star other than Clark and Chloe.
The only other person that sort of fits the bill is the guy lying on the floor at the DP as Faora-in-Lois uses his computer in Bloodline. But Tess is also in that scene, and the guy is in a suit, not a recognizable uniform.

Do we see and/or hear the main character make the request?
Is the request made over the phone?
Is what was requested illegal?

When you say "associated with" do you mean related? (ie Lionel's mother - associated with Lionel and Lex)

I have to confess folks, that I put one this up this late last night. And now, for the life of me, can't remember who my "Who am I?" subject is. I was watching S1 last night so maybe it was someone from that season. Ooops. :)
