Although she's mad at Lionel.. seeing an evil man like they say he is.. on his knees.. wouldn't that bring a little suspicion? I mean even if she still acted cold with him like she did.. wouldn't you tell clark..."hey i know Lionel messed up, but he's been acting crazy saying somethin bad is coming"...

In fact when he told Clark.. "well right now it doesn't matter what you think of me..." i mean .. even Clark here could have listened..but he was so worried about Lana.. i mean to me.. him waiting in the waiting room worried to see Lana.. was so pathetic to me.. this is the man of steel soon to be..and instead of wanting to fly..to find out what happened to Kara.. he's in a waiting room .. .. i mean i understand it's lana..but from what he knows.. he might never see Kara again.. (ofcourse we know this isn't true) ... geesh..

The way Chloe and Clark behaved to Lionel was obviously just a clever excuse for a cliffhanger. As viewers we know that Lionel is speaking the truth, and that when whatever he's prophesying actually happens, Clark and the others will wish they'd listened to him earlier.

I totally agree with you.. I got abit angry on chloe because she didnt hear what Lionel had to say. Even though he had done some unforgettable things, he was saying that clark was in trouble, and I though chloe wanted to help clark.. SO LISTEN FOR GOD SAKE! god... I got so angry when she just walked away..

although, Lionel looked abit scary there in the end while talking to chloe :D

Chloe will probably regret her mistake three episodes down the line and all, especially since Lionel is (likely) dead and she didn't listen to the warning that could have helped.

I agree, I know Lionel's done a lot of dirt, but in that moment he really looked sincere and Chloe should have listened to his warning

It's hard to believe a known liar even if they change.

Clark was a little occupied for Chloe to be talking about Lionel don't you think?

Lionel is not acting his usual self assured self that is why I think he will die.

It's not just his warnings that Chloe and Clark need to worry about. It's Lionels idea of 'help' that really make them not trust him. He locked clark in a cage instead of talking to him. And not just any cage but a cage of krytonite that was run by a lunitic. So Chloe and Clark weren't the first ones to not trust, that was Lionel. Lionel could have just as 'easily' trusted clark or even Chloe to try an protect or investigate the mysterious notes that he was recieving but he didn't. He trusted a guy that he could buy, that hated Kryptonians (no matter the validity of his fears) rather then ANYONE else..

I'm not saying that Chloe shouldn't have listened to Lionel, but I'm saying as plot driven as it was Chloe had reason not to. I mean Lionel only showed the pictures of Lex and the Driver to Lana who wasn't even there.. Doesn't he know how to make/get copies.. wouldn't that have actually swayed Chloe.. ???

they'd have assumed he photoshopped them or something, anything to make the MB look like an MB even when he's not

Yes as a plot driven story I'm sure the would have 'assumed' that. But they weren't given the chance to scoff at it were they.. and we weren't given the credit viewers to see something like that play out.

Why was it pathetic? Just because he's the ManOfSteel shouldn't he have feelings? I don't understand how some people can complain about that. If Clark Kent didn't have feelings then he would be pathetic!

They didn't get the chance to see the pictures. I am thinking though since Lois and Jimmy saw them Chloe and Clark will find out in Descent. And when she does find out I think she'll ask Lionel about the threat.

I think AM played that scene as showing she was wavering, that she was thinking maybe she should trust Lionel even as she was telling him she didn't. Did something happen last week to make her doubt Lionel more than before?

If Lionel's warning comes true and if he ends up dying, will Chloe tell Clark that Lionel had warned her but she just ignored him??

I thought it was irresponsible. Lionel has NEVER acted desperate. She should think, maybe I should just hear it out since he's being so extreme, even if I likely won't believe him.
